I cannot get enough of my new Citizens for Humanity petite jeans! They are so comfortable and they fit perfectly. I love wearing jeans with breezy blouses, and this off-white one from Lush is perfection. I love the breezy silhouette it has, and the fabric is cool for a hot summer day. It also looks amazing with cut-offs or regular shorts.

Christian Louboutin Scarabee Voilet Blue nail polish review

Pictured: Christian Louboutin Scarabee Violet Blue nail polish. Limited edition, summer nail polish.

Christian Louboutin’s new Scarabee nail polish collection features three new colors, including Violet Blue,  which are perfect for summer. Christian Louboutin took his inspiration for this collection from the scarab beetle from Egyptian iconography. The colors reflect in the sun, and look like jewels in the evening. Love that!

Voilet Blue from Christian Louboutin’s Scarabee collection offers an exotic bluish-green hue with warm, golden undertones. The undertones reflect in the sun, and offer a golden-blue sheen which is unique, and ideal for a warm summer day. Love that!

I tested out Christian Louboutin Voilet Blue nail polish from the Scarabee collection with two coats of color, one base coat, and no top coat. The nail polish was very strong and lasted seven days before chipping. Now that I have a few Christian Louboutin nail polish bottles in my collection, I have become accustomed to the long wand applicator brush. Although it is not the easiest nail polish brush to work with, it does a great job applying an even coat of nail polish without creating a mess. Love that!

I am looking forward to testing out another color from Christian Louboutin’s Scarabee nail polish collection. The nail polish is limited edition, and with these fabulous colors, it will sell out fast! I have noticed Christian Louboutin’s nail polish has a good shelf life, and it can go months without being used and still be in perfect condition. This is key when in investing in designer nail polish. I feel good spending money on Christian Louboutin nail polish because I know it is long lasting on my nails, and on my shelf!

Now, I feel like I need a Cleopatra inspired ensemble to match my Christian Louboutin Scarabee Voilet Blue nail polish. After all, Ra has been blessing us with sun, so why not dress accordingly to celebrate! I might have to start with these shoes, and go from there 😉

Christian Louboutin’s Scarabee nail polish collection, including Violet Blue, can be found online here.

Petite flare jeans by Citizens of Humanity

One of the hardest things to shop for is jeans! At 5’4″ tall, I find the majority of jeans on the market way too long for me. I often have to spend extra money tailoring my jeans in order to fit my short legs. One huge problem I encounter is when I have to shorten bootcut, flare, or bell bottom jeans. When I have boot cut, flare, or bell bottom jeans shortened, I lose half the flare of the jean, thus ruining the silhouette of the pant. Can I tell you how annoying and frustrating this can be???

Due to this problem, I often find myself going straight to the Gap and purchasing their jeans in the “short” or “ankle” length. Since the Gap has great prices, this is not really a bag thing. I have to admit, I do get bored of always buying the same brand of jeans! So, I decided to try on a few pairs of petite jeans to see how they would fit.

I am not really sure why I haven’t tried petite jeans before. I already wear petite pants, so why have I not tried jeans?! Why did it take me so long to have this revelation?! Ah, the universe will never know. 😉

I was thrilled when I tried Citizens of Humanity flare jeans in a petite size. They fit perfectly! I have found denim heaven. Not only do these jeans fit perfectly, I do not have to shorten them, and they are soft and comfortable. Love that!

Petite jeans are now going to be my new guilty pleasure. I feel like a kid in a candy store trying on jeans that fit me! Yay! Since I love these petite jeans by Citizens of Humanity so much, I plan to get a few more pairs for the fall season.

What is your favorite line of denim?
