Have you ever owned a pair of shoes, or an accessory, which you find yourself reaching for almost every day? I originally experienced this “shoe obsession” with my first pair of Valentino Rockstuds. They were a pair of black patent leather high heels with an open toe, and they had gold studs going up the back of the shoe in a straight line. Those particular high heels were only available for one season. So when the now “classic” high heels and kitten heels came out, I snagged a pair of each; black and light blue respectively.

It is rare to find a pair of high heels which are comfortable. There are only two lines of high heels on the market which I find I can wear all day long without killing my feet. I find Valentino’s collection of Rockstuds, and Manolo Blahnik’s entire collection of high heels, the only high heels which are comfortable. I don’t mind spending money on them because the styles are classic, and they are comfortable. For me, that’s win/win!

Of course after falling in love with, and constantly wearing, Valentino’s Rockstud high heels, the only natural next step was to try out the flats! Since my favorite color is blue, I decided to purchase a pair of Rockstud flats in blue. This was a good decision! Not only are the flats comfortable, the color is amazing! I love them!

Since Valentino Rockstud flats are comfortable, and considered “classic” for the time being, I may consider a pair in neutral beige, and possibly black.

Do you have an accessory, or article of clothing, you have fallen in love with and find yourself purchasing in multiple styles or colors? If so, please share in the comment section below!

Shirtdresses for summer 2015

shirtdresses for summer 2015 shirt dress

Pictured from left: Blue shirtdress / Beige shirtdress / Olive shirtdress

The shirtdress is a classic dress style. This timeless silhouette has been reinvented season after season appearing with varying sleeve lengths, collars, hemlines, and button patterns. For summer 2015, the shirtdress takes on a slim silhouette, single button pattern, double breast pocket design, and tie waist belt. The collars on shirtdresses for summer 2015 are being shown in every style imaginable. Love that!

The shirtdress for summer 2015 is considered a casual style best worn during the day and on weekends. Shirtdresses can easily be worn with flat sandals, high heel sandals, summer booties, and casual pumps. Shirtdresses also look amazing for summer 2015 when styled with an on-trend bucket bag, or flap closure shoulder bag, reminiscent of the 1970’s.

Fabrications for summer shirtdresses are mostly in natural fibers such as cotton, and silk. There are a few styles being found in soft polyester, and rayon. Look for crisp cottons, or flowing silks, for the most “of-the-moment” look in shirtdresses this season.

Although not a dominant runway trend, shirtdresses are a favorite on the street; making them one of the hottest street style trends in casual attire for the summer 2015 season.

I found a few fabulous shirtdresses around the web and assembled them into the shopping widget below. I hope you love them ! I am eyeing the pale blue dress featured above. Love it! Happy shopping, and stay fabulous 😉

Casual spring outfit

The weather is starting to heat up here in the San Francisco Bay Area. This means it is time to adjust what we wear! To stay cool last weekend, I paired this 1970’s inspired denim skirt with my favorite red blouse. I love how the brass buttons on my blouse play well with these Jenny Present earrings and Donald J Pliner wedges. The metals just work.

I have also been extremely excited to get my hands on Kendra Scott’s summer collection, “Via Maya.” I am so excited for the collection, I purchased a couple pairs of earrings, a few rings, a bracelet. . .you see where this is going. Bye-bye paycheck! Every piece is worth every cent. I am in love with her summer line! This ring is my favorite. I bought the ring pictured above in both the brown pearl and abalone shell. I want the white version too; but money doesn’t grow on trees. . .so. . .if you hear of a money growing tree, let me know!

My beautiful eight year old daughter took these pictures. When we were taking pictures, she asked me if she can borrow this ring when she grows up. I think she has quite the eye for fashion! I also think she did a pretty good job taking these photos. She has an artistic eye! What do you think?
