The new Essie summer 2017 nail polish collection is here! There are six colors in the Essie nail polish summer 2017 collection; three are warm, and three are cool. Love them!

The three cool colors include “Blue-La-La” which is a cool, icy blue hue, “Baguette Me Not” which is a vivid lilac color, and “S’il Vous Plait” which is a sparkling, dark lavender color. These are my three favorite colors from the collection, they are beautiful!

In addition to the three cool hues, the Essie summer 2017 nail polish collection includes three warm shades. “Eclair My Love” is a bold, bright, dark fuschia hue, “Fondant of You” is a light, sparkling tangerine orange, and “Sweet Souffle” is a warm, sparkling off-white nail color. These are so perfect for summer vacation!

I tested out all six of the summer colors. Here are my reviews of each individual color.

Essie Baguette Me Not nail polish for summer 2017

This is Essie “Baguette Me Not” nail polish for summer 2017. It is a bright, vivid lilac hue. Baguette Me Not is a cream nail polish which works perfectly in two coats. This is a really pretty color for summer!

Essie Blue-La-La nail polish for summer 2017

Essie “Blue-La-La” nail polish for summer 2017 is my favorite color from the Essie summer 2017 nail polish collection. This is a vivid, icy blue hue which makes a tan look amazing! It is a cream nail polish which goes on smoothly, no streaking, in two coats. I plan on wearing this one a lot this season! Love!

Essie S’il Vous Plait nail polish for summer 2017

“S’il Vous Plait” by Essie is a sparkling, dark lavender nail polish which is beautifully eye-catching in the summer sun. This is my second favorite color from the collection. I cannot wait to wear it often this summer! It is a metallic nail polish which goes on perfectly in two coats. Love it!

Essie Eclair My Love nail polish summer 2017

“Eclair My Love” by Essie for summer 2017 is a bright, bold, dark fuchsia hue. This is the nail polish hue for the daring Fashionista! It is perfect for warm summer days, vacations to tropical locations, and anytime you want to feel like you are on a vacation. It is a cream polish and applies smoothly, and streak-free, in two coats.

Essie Fondant of You nail polish summer 2017

I’m not a big orange fan, but Essie “Fondant of You” has made me change my tune. This is an orange I will wear! I love this sparkling, tangerine hue for the summer months. Fondant of You is a metallic polish which works perfectly in two coats. Love it!!

Essie Sweet Souffle nail polish summer 2017

White nail polish can be hard to apply, and hard to find. Most white nail polishes end up looking like white out manicures from the 1980s. Not “Sweet Souffle” by Essie for summer 2017! Sweet Souffle is a sparkling, off-white hue which looks pretty, feminine, and very un-white-out-like on the nails. It applies smoothly, rare for whites, in two coats. This is a great white polish for summer, and I plan to wear it on my toes so that my toe nail polish will not clash with my shoes. Love this one!!

Like all Essie nail polishes, they last about four days without a top coat; with a top coat, these polishes will last over a week. Always use a good base coat, and your mani will look fabulous!

Summer 2017 is here! This means new colors from Chanel for the warm, summer season. Love!  Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine lipstick collection is one of my favorite lipsticks. It is sheer, which makes it easy to wear with casual attire, or anytime you don’t want a lot of color on your lips. I always keep one in my handbag in case I get tired of wearing a cream lipstick during the day, and want to switch things up a bit.

For the summer 2017 season, Chanel has introduced the Cruise 2017 collection; not to be confused with resort. This is the first summer 2017 beauty collection. Although the nail polish colors for summer are bright and sunny, with one color exception offering a darker, more vampy look, the lipsticks are surprising subdued.

Chanel has two colors for summer from their Rouge Coco Shine lipstick collection. Golden Sun, which is a sheer orange, and Golden Sand, which is a sheer, dark tan. Both colors are on the cool side of the color spectrum, and offer a natural lip for the warm weather season. No bold lips from Chanel for summer 2017!

Chanel Golden Sand lipstick is the perfect go-to color for everyday. It is a neutral hue which plays with any color palette. It is ideal for the office when makeup should not be obvious, and it is great for casual ensembles. This is the color I keep in my purse when I want to change things up during the day, or I get tired of wearing a heavier, cream lipstick.

If you have not worn Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine lipstick before, it is extremely lightweight and easy to wear. It never smears, and it wears off evenly during the course of the day. Another thing I love about Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipstick, is the fact that it is moisturizing. This is why I have been purchasing lipstick colors from this collection since I was in undergrad!

Chanel Golden Sun lipstick for summer 2017

Don’t let that orange hue fool you! This is a very sheer orange color. Chanel Golden Sun lipstick is a cheery hue which, in my opinion, looks amazing with Chanel’s summer nail colors. Since it is sheer, and light, Golden Sun is easy to wear daily; much like Golden Sand. Unlike Golden Sand, Golden Sun is more on the trendy lip color side and is a great color to wear with summer’s pink, orange, and yellow hues. Love!

This is the color I reach for when I want a sheer lip that is a little more playful then on days when I reach for Golden Sand. Do you need both colors in Chanel’s summer lipstick collection? Maybe not, but it sure is fun to own both! If you are going to choose one, go for Golden Sand for a more conservative look, or Golden Sun for a more playful vibe.

I am so excited to talk to you about Colleen Rothschild’s beauty products! I had the honor of meeting her last month when I was at the rewardStyle conference, and she was absolutely amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and had the best skin; of course! Since I want skin like hers, and I think we all do, I knew trying out her beauty products was a must!

She has so many fabulous skin care products. I have not had the chance to try them all out, but I wanted to share with you the three products which caught my eye when I was first introduced to the brand.

Colleen Rothschild’s Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum caught my eye because it helps skin like mine. Although it has the word “acid” in the name, it is actually gentle enough to use everyday. The Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum promotes cellular turnover which helps with fine lines, acne (my nemesis!), dark spots (I have a few from my love of the sun), and the overall texture of facial skin.

Mandelic Acid is derived from the bitter almond and contains gentle yet highly effective alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). It gently exfoliates skin which, over time, results in a bright and radiant complexion. Love that!

I have been using it nightly after my regular nighttime cleansing routine and my skin feels softer, and my sun spots less visible. Love!

Colleen Rothschild Extreme Recovery Cream

The Extreme Recovery Cream by Colleen Rothschild is a lifesaver for dry skin. This spring season, we have had so much wind! The wind and the sun have really wreaked havoc on my skin. This cream has been a great barrier from the wind, and it has kept my facial skin moisturized to perfection. Love!

I go through so much body cream! My skin is always exposed to the elements, as well swimming pool chemicals, so I am always in need of a good body cream to keep my skin moisturized. Colleen Rothschild new body cream smells so good, plus it is light as a feather! It does not leave any film or goopy cream on your skin. It is absorbed instantly; which is so amazing! This body cream may not be online yet, but I will keep you posted and let you know when it is in stock. It is truly amazing!
