Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color lipstick review

Bobbi Brown has a new lipstick! The Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color lipstick collection offers twenty beautiful, saturated colors in a new, innovative formula. Love!

The new Crushed Lip Color by Bobbi Brown offers a stained flush of color which gives off a just-kissed look in one swipe of the lipstick. It is jam-packed with moisturizing vitamins E and C, as well as beeswax. Bobbie Brown Crushed Lip Color leaves a lip stain which is long-lasting; eliminating the need to continually reapply the lipstick throughout the day.

As a busy Mom, I demand my lipstick stays on during the day. I cannot deal with messy lip colors that smudge, or wear off right away. There simply aren’t enough hours in the day for me to deal with high-maintenance lipstick. Thankfully, Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color stays put, and it isn’t caked or thick looking. The stain is just enough color to help me look put together, without being looking like I’m overdone. This is lipstick perfection!

There are so many pretty colors in the Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color collection, it is hard to choose just a few! I did mange to narrow the line down and pick three colors I love. Here they are!

Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color Lilac

Bobbi Brown’s Crushed Lip Color in Lilac is may favorite of the pinkish/purple hues in the collection. It is a soft pinkish purple color which looks natural, and is easy to wear daily. I love how this color looks with shades of blue, purple, and pink for the fall/winter season. It is also a great color to wear during any season. Love!

Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color Bare

Bare from Bobbi Brown’s Crushed Lip Color collection is a great nude color. It brightens up lips without adding too much brown or tan to them. It has a natural look which is enhanced. This is perfect for when you should be wearing lipstick but don’t want to look like you’re wearing lipstick.

Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color Plum

Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color in Plum is also a great everyday color. This is perfect for days when I want more pigment then the Lilac hue offers. It is also a great color for the autumn season. I know I will reach for Plum quite a bit!

All in all, the Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color collection offers a lightweight lip stain, without the cakiness of a cream lipstick; but more color then a sheer lipstick or gloss would offer. This is perfect for when you want to add some color to your lips without the heavy weight of a cream lipstick. I love this collection!

Aren’t these photos fun! My eleven-year-old daughter took them and was trying to help me smile by making funny faces at me while shooting these pictures. This could explain my humorous expressions. haha

Incline Flume Trail review | family friendly hiking trails Lake Tahoe

family friendly trails tahoe area

Are you wondering how to find the entrance to the Incline Flume Trail in Lake Tahoe? Or maybe you are looking for family friendly hikes in the Lake Tahoe area? Or, maybe you have heard about the unmarked, yet insanely beautiful Incline Flume Trail in Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side of the border? If so, then you have the right place!

We love heading to Tahoe in the fall season. There are less tourists milling around, and the weather is insanely beautiful. It really is the perfect time of year to hike. The trails are not abandoned, but they are far from crowded; this makes hiking a fun experience which is both relaxing and soul rejuvenating.

My husband read an article about the Incline Flume Trail and suggested we hike it with our kids. We are always on the hunt for new, kid friendly trails in the Lake Tahoe area, so I was on board! The trail was described as having spectacular views of Lake Tahoe, a bit of history, and a flat, family friendly trail.

The Incline Flume Trail got it’s name from being an old logging flume. It has it’s historical roots in the now defunct logging industry which used to prevail in the area. The article my husband read promised a glimpse of abandoned logging buildings, and remnants of the areas logging past. Unfortunately we did not come across any markings, or structures, which alluded to the trail’s logging past. It is possible they are out there, and we didn’t go far enough down the trail to see them. We hiked for a total of three hours round trip, so roughly 1.5 hours in and out. We did stop along the way for a snack, and we also had a rock climbing break where the kids climbed some big rocks for fun.

The Incline Flume Trail is a great hike with kids; despite the historical aspects being difficult to find. The trail is clean and well maintained. It is mostly flat, with a few areas boasting a steep edge. If you have small children, or any children, be sure to talk to them ahead of time and warn them not to run on the trail, and to be careful when there is drop off to the side of the trail.

Steep edge of the Incline Flume Trail; be careful with kids and warn them to not run.

There are very few parts of the trail with this steep edge. The majority of the trail is flat and easy to navigate. This helps make the Incline Flume Trail popular among families, dog walkers, and bikes. Which brings me to. . .

There are a large number of dog walkers at the beginning of the trail. The farther in you hike from the parking area, the less dogs you will see. If you are afraid of dogs, like my daughter, then be prepared to meet up with several dogs on your way into the trail. People hike in pairs, and in groups, with multiple dogs; most on leashes. They are safe dogs, and the owners are responsible, so you don’t need to worry about getting bombarded; just be ready to see them.

In addition to dogs, the Incline Flume Trail is a favorite among bikers. There are small children learning to cycle as well as professional off-road bikers on this trail. Some of the bikes will move quickly, so yield to the side of the trail when they are coming your way. They always say thank you, and are cautious as well as friendly. This is a great trail which attracts polite, nice people. It is beautiful, and a great experience through and through.

The Incline Flume Trail is bit difficult to find if you are not familiar with the area. The trail is not marked, so be sure to look at your mileage counter on your car, and look for the turnout where you can park. To find the Incline Flume Trail, which is not on GPS by the way, take Tahoe Blvd/28 to Mt Rose Hwy/431. While driving on 431, you will pass the Country Club on your right, and then look for Fairview Blvd on the right, the turnout to park will be .8 miles after you pass Fairview Blvd. A few cars can park on the right, but there is ample parking in the turnout on the left; which is what I recommend you look for.

The entrance to the Incline Flume Trail will be across from the paved, large parking turnout. There isn’t a sign, but there will be other people around, so walk between the parked cars (parked in the dirt across from the paved turnout) and you will see the entrance to the trail. The trail opens up between the trees and displays a beautiful array of trees, with a view of the lake behind you. The views of the lake get better as you hike farther into the trail; so keep going!

I hope you find, and enjoy, Incline Flume Trail! This is my new favorite hiking trail in the Lake Tahoe area so I am thrilled to be able to share it with you. Get out there and enjoy our beautiful country!

Thanks for stopping by!

XOXO

JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish collection review

jinsoon fall 2017 nail polish collection review

nail polish c/o JINsoon: JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish collection from left; JINsoon Idyll / JINsoon Milieu / JINsoon Fable / JINsoon Abyss

JINsoon nail polish is one of the popular brands you find backstage at New York Fashion Week runway shows. I have always admired their nail colors, and their nail art, on the runways; so when they offered to send me their fall collection, I was thrilled!

The JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish collection is hot off the runway, and I am so excited to share the colors with you!

I tested out the JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish collection with one base coat, and two coats of colors. I found the nail polish to be extremely chip resistant. I did some household cleaning without gloves in order to test the durability of the polish, and it passed all the tests! JINsoon’s nail polish did not chip, or wear, off while I scrubbed the kitchen, the bathrooms, and the floor while wearing it; without gloves. Love that!

Fall 2017 is all about dark colors, soft fabrics, texture, and a vintage vibe. The JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish collection captures this vibe, and the colors work well with the look of the season.

JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish: JINsoon Abyss

jinsoon Abyss nail polish fall 2017 review

JINsoon Abyss nail polish for fall 2017 is my favorite color from the autumn collection. Abyss is a deep, dark, mysterious blue which has a slight greenish tinge in artificial light. In natural light, it is a beautiful, dark navy hue. I love this color and can’t wait to wear it often this fall season!

JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish: JINsoon Fable

JINsoon Fable is my second favorite color from the fall collection. This is a fabulous, deep, dark purple hue. Purple is one of my favorite colors, so it makes a great alternative to my go-to blue hues. I plan on weaving this color into my fall nail polish routine often. It is simply stunning.

JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish: JINsoon Idyll

JINsoon Idyll nail polish is a classic orange-red. This is a timeless autumn hue which captures the essence of the fall season. My daughter spotted this color on my nails, and her eyes got wide. She snapped up the bottle and has made it her own. She is currently wearing Idyll on her fingers and her toes. She has no plans of returning the bottle to me. It is truly a beautiful fall hue. Love!

JINsoon fall 2017 nail polish: JINsoon Milieu

jinsoon milieu nail polish fall 2017

JINsoon Milieu is the ultimate classic taupe for fall. This is a great neutral color which should be a staple in anyone’s nail polish wardrobe. Milieu is a little bit more then a traditional neutral; it happens to have slight black undertones. These come out as appearing to add texture to the nail. You can really see it on my pinky in the photo above. I love when a neutral is not so neutral. When I don’t want my nails to compete with my outfit, JINsoon Milieu will be my nail color of choice.

This was the first time I tried JINsoon nail polish. I am really impressed! The colors apply smoothly; leaving no streaks. They are long lasting, and extremely chip resistant. In addition, JINsoon nail polish is priced under $20. Love that!

Which color is your favorite?
