Friday was my busiest day at New York Fashion Week. I attended five shows and was stopped a few times on the street by photographers. This was the first time photographers stopped me to take pictures and I was thoroughly baffled on how to act! I stopped and smiled, but completely forgot to ask them who they worked for! Only one photographer offered up her publication. I have to admit, the whole experience was flattering! The compliments I received were towards my Milly skirt and Rebecca Minkoff handbag. Due to this experience, I will be wearing both of these items well through spring, and possibly into summer too! How could I not?!

My shoes are from the fall 2009 Prada runway and I could not be more thankful for them! I brought them and wore them at fashion week because they have a lug sole which grips the ice and snow; keeping me safe from falls! In addition to the traction, they are extremely comfortable despite the pitch of the heel. This is a necessity since I have to stand in line before the shows and New York, in general, requires a lot of walking!

Friday was an amazing day since I was able to see Carmen Marc Valvo, Rebecca Minkoff, Lee Jean Youn, Academy of Art and Emerson. The designs on the runways were amazing and I was thrilled to have a sneak peek into the upcoming trends for the fall/winter 2014/2015 season! Just from Friday, I was already able to spot the importance of classic red and medium blue for the fall season.

There are many more shows to see, so at the end of it all, I will have a complete trend report for you! Thank you so much for your support and stay tuned for more coverage from New York!

Kerala Ashok Garden fragrance bracelet by Lisa Hoffman Beauty

Photos: Earrings: c/o Twisted Silver (use code INSIDERS fir 15% off) / Lipstick: c/o Dolce & Gabbana Amethyst / Scarf: L’Wren Scott for BR / Blouse: Collective Concepts / Handbag: Coach / Jeans: L’Wren Scott for BR / Bracelet: c/o  Lisa Hoffman Beauty / Nail Polish: c/o Mineral Fusion Amethyst / Shoes: Prada

One of my favorite beauty items to shop for is fragrance. Another one of my weaknesses is jewelry! Combined, they are a match made in heaven 🙂 I absolutely adore the new Kerala Ashok Garden bracelet from Lisa Hoffman Beauty. The bracelet is a beautiful purple hue which blends well with 2014’s color of the year, Radiant Orchid

The bracelet itself is made from vintage glass beads with a beautiful silver ball charm. The silver ball charm is the secret of the bracelet! Inside the charm you can place a few fragrance beads which exude peace and happiness. The beads offer fragrance notes of India’s Ashok blossom, deep violet, ripe pear, velvety apricot and sheer jasmine. With the fragrance beads inside the charm on the bracelet, the scent lasts for many days as opposed to spraying perfume on your skin; which disappears within the course of a day. You can also wear the bracelet and smell beautiful, then take it off when you need to be scent-free at the gym, and then put the bracelet back on to smell pretty again! Love that! No fooling with bottles!!

Another benefit of the Kerala Ashok Bracelet is that it is perfect for traveling. The beads retain their scent throughout an average holiday vacation or business trip and you don’t need to fiddle with a bottle at airport check points!

Over the weekend we took the kids to a local fundraising carnival. It was really fun to go on the Ferris Wheel and watch the kids go on so many rides and inside of the bouncy house. We were at the carnival for several hours so I was really happy to be wearing a comfortable pair of biker boots.

I love the biker boot trend this fall. Biker boots offer a small heel and an edgy style which spices up a casual outfit; yet allows a certain level of comfort. Love that! These biker boots have definitely been my fall 2013 “go-to” item. What is your “go-to” item(s) this autumn season?
