Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, we have a mix of weather. It can be scorching hot one day, and then the fog comes in the next day and it feels like early fall. So, I am starting to put together my fall outfit ideas for those foggy and cooler days. I am so over summer weather! Bring on the fall season!

I picked up this short sleeve sweater last week and I am already addicted to wearing it. If there is fog in the morning, I am putting it on! This sweater is perfect for creating casual fall outfits, and it can also pair with trousers or a pencil skirt for the office. Love that!

This was me, manifesting fall, when we met up with family for a big dinner at Chef Chu’s in Los Altos. If you haven’t been to Chef Chu’s, it’s a large Chinese-American restaurant with familiar dishes. The food is really good, and they get crowded. If you go, make reservations!

My daughter enjoyed this apple martini with her dinner. Of course, I had to take a picture. I only drank tea, so I guess I am boring. haha.

The food was delicious and it is always nice visiting with family. I highly recommend going if you have a large party!

The Sound of Music at Broadway San Jose

The Sound of Music is happening right now at Broadway San Jose and it’s amazing! If you love the movie, you will love the show too. The cast has the most beautiful voices and they are extremely talented. Loved it!

We attended on opening night, and it was a full house. I wore my navy shirt dress since it can go easily from the office to evening events. It was really comfortable and perfect for the occasion.

Since The Sound of Music is one of my favorite all-time movies, it was so nice to hear the songs live on stage and see the story come alive. That being said, you don’t have to know the movie to enjoy this show. My son doesn’t remember seeing the movie and he loved the Broadway version. So, it’s a great show for everyone; movie fans and non-movie fans. Love that!

Cardigan sweater fall outfit and dumplings

OK, so we are still in the middle of a scorching summer, but we did have a little bit of fog the other day, so I took advantage and manifested fall. Can we please switch to fall? At least for the weather? Ugh, anyway. . .

My friend Dawn, from Fashion Should be Fun, and I tried out the new Dough Zone location at The Pruneyard for lunch. It was so yummy! I love the other location, so this one did not disappoint. We both fell in love with their won tons served with chili sauce and also their pork and crab xlb. Yum!

I am already craving their food again. This is a place that needs to be on repeat! The food is so good. Highly recommend!

As for fall, I will keep taking advantage of the fog when it blesses us in the morning and I look forward to cooler weather in a few months so I can wear my sweaters!
