Floral blazers and floral moto jackets are all the rage for spring 2016. While florals aren’t groundbreaking for spring, floral blazers, and floral moto jackets, are a fresh take on the otherwise timeless spring trend.

Since I am not much of a floral pattern person, I usually bypass floral dresses, skirts, and the like every spring season. For spring 2016, floral blazers, and floral moto jackets, caught my eye and I actually could see myself wearing them!

Out of the two styles, I decided to go with a floral moto jacket, as it seemed a bit edgier, and more “me.” I love this floral moto jacket since it offers a bold floral pattern which is spaced out; I don’t like crowed florals. I also love the black background.

Of course, finding the perfect floral moto jacket for spring at Express was a godsend! Who doesn’t love their prices?! In addition to a fabulous pattern, and great price, the jacket is comfortable! Sounds too good to be true, but it is! How often is a form fitting jacket comfy? This jacket fits like a glove, and the fabric has give; allowing me to reach up for things, and go about my day without feeling constricted or fussy. Love that!

I paired my new floral moto jacket for spring with a long, black skirt for church recently. I like how it gives the jacket a conservative look. For an edgier look, this moto jacket looks fabulous with faux leather legging, black jeans, blue jeans, and if you have the legs, a short skirt! (I don’t have the legs haha)

My beautiful nine-year-old daughter fell in love with this jacket the moment she laid eyes on it, so when I wanted to snap a few pictures before we left the house, she wanted to be the photographer. I think she did a pretty good job!

If you love this floral moto jacket for spring as much as I do, you can snap it up online here.

Thanks for stopping by!

New York Fashion Week winter street style

I wore this outfit on day five of New York Fashion Week when Laura and I stopped into Laduree SOHO for brunch, and of course to buy macarons!

I titled this look New York Fashion Week winter street style because it was lightly snowing that day, and Laura and I took each other’s pictures just before the snow turned into slushy rain. While we were photographing our outfits, photographers were coming out from another show and snapped pictures of us snapping pictures. It was pretty hilarious.

Day five of New York Fashion Week was significantly warmer than the first four days. The first four days of fashion week, the temperatures plunged below twenty degrees, and over the weekend, down into single digits. On Monday, it was a toasty thirty in the morning, and by the evening, it was in the fifties and humid. This outfit was perfect. I did not need a coat! It is funny how warm thirty or forty degrees can feel after you have been running around in single digit temps!

Day five was my easiest day of fashion week. I did not have to rush into an Uber to make any shows, or worry about being late. I saw Reem Acra and Vivienne Tam; both of which were located at the Skylight Moynihan, and were back to back.

After Vivienne Tam’s show, we attended Vivienne Hu’s after-party. There was a basketball net at the party. If you follow me on Snapchat, you may have seen Laura and I attempting free throws in our high heels. It was so fun, and pretty hilarious to watch! We also had a chance to speak with Vivienne Hu about her collection, and the current changes to fashion week. It was amazing!

I am a little sad looking at these photos. It was the last day of fashion week for me before flying home. New York Fashion Week is so much fun; despite that fact that it is work too! Now that I am back home, spring is here, and I am looking towards warmer weather, and fashion to match!

Stay tuned for my recap later this week where I will let you know about all the new trends for fall 2016 from the runways in New York! Thank you for following along, your support means everything to me!

Pink faux fur on day three of New York Fashion Week

When it comes to New York Fashion Week, we wear pink faux fur. Literally. Not only did I wear faux fur on Saturday during New York Fashion Week, my friend Laura from Have Need Want also wore shades of pink faux fur; oh we were quite a sight together!

Seriously though, when in the world can you wear a shaggy, pink faux fur coat in a regular day to day life? It can only work during fashion week; or any fashion related event. Now, when it comes to shaggy black faux fur, it can be worn all the time, for any occasion! If you are thinking of a fun, faux fur coat to keep you warm now, and next year, my coat is in stock in black; and it is on sale! Love that!

I am so glad I packed this fun and furry, pink faux fur coat. The temperatures on day three of New York Fashion Week dropped down into single digits. This little California girl was frozen solid! Thankfully my coat kepy me toasty warm. Even the pockets were fabulous! When my iPhone battery dropped down to nothing due to the cold, I took it out of my purse, and placed it in my pocket. The combination of my body heat, and the warmth of this coat, kept my iPhone charged! Loved it!

This fun, fluffy, pink faux fur coat would also be a kick to wear on a trip to Tahoe. Wouldn’t it be fun to walk into a restaurant and be the only person not wearing a giant ski jacket? I am sure I would get some shade thrown my way, but hey, live a little right?

Day three of New York Fashion Week was a fun day. I started off the day at Taoray Wang, then felt really special with my assigned, front row seat at one of my favorite designers, Leanne Marshall. I got the most fabulous photos of her beautiful collection! Stay tuned for my write up on her show!!

After Leanne Marshall, I went to Michelle Helene’s presentation, and then went to one of my favorite shows; Monique Lhuillier! My assigned seat was straight up from the photographers risers, so my pictures show the models as they turned. Although I didn’t get really good shots of the models head to toe, I did get some fun photos which show the models turning motion. Since her inspiration was taken from the early 1970s, I thought the motion added a groovy vibe to my view. Loved it! Stay tuned for my write-up on her show too!

I had a blast being a giant, pink fur ball on day three of New York Fashion Week. It was little Pink Panther, and a little pink Cookie Monster. When Laura and I walked together, the street style photographers definitely started snapping! It was really fun. Now I need to find another avant-garde occasion to wear this pink faux fur coat again! It is quite fun!
