Jumpsuits are everywhere this summer season! I have always been afraid of trying to wear a jumpsuit. I am only 5’4″ which is on the cusp of being petite. This puts me in a position where I often find petite clothing does not fit, yet regular sized clothing is too large for my short frame. When it comes to a jumpsuit, this poses a problem since petite jumpsuits do not offer enough room in the torso, and regular sized jumpsuits are too long.

I keep seeing people wearing jumpsuits; and they look so cute! This inspired me to just bite the bullet and try to make a regular sized jumpsuit work; after all, you can alter something too large, but you cannot add to something which is too short.

This floral jumpsuit for summer caught my eye; plus the price was right. I took a chance and ordered it online. Of course when it arrived, I noticed it was too long. This was an easy fix. I could either shorten it, or I could be lazy and wear it with platform espadrilles; I chose the latter.

Since I am long-waisted, and typically wear regular sizes on top, and petite on the bottom, this worked out perfectly for the jumpsuit. Apparently I CAN wear a regular size jumpsuit due to my long waist! Yay! The jersey fabric turned out to be extremely comfortable and easy to wear.

As you can tell, I am at the beach! We snapped these photos after dinner during our recent trip to Los Angeles. We enjoyed a yummy Italian dinner at Mangiamo’s in Manhattan Beach. The wind was blowing extremely hard; and it started to get a little bit chilly after dinner. Despite the cool, windy weather, my ten-year-old daughter snapped these photos for me on the beach. The lighting wasn’t optimal, but she did a great job!

If you are looking for a comfortable jumpsuit which is easy to pack in a suitcase, and stays wrinkle-free, this jumpsuit is perfect! The price is right too.

How fun are these wide leg jeans! I finally bit the bullet and purchased a pair of wide leg, cropped jeans for the summer season as an alternate to my beloved boyfriend jeans. It seemed like it was about time to have an alternate pair of jeans, since I have all but abandoned my skinny jeans.

These cropped wide leg jeans are super comfortable; and fun! I love the bleached design at the crop. Since I am 5’4″, the regular size hits me at the ankles. Maybe I should have ordered petite? If I was taller, it would hit me a couple inches above the ankles; which I think looks amazing. If there were not details on the edges of the jeans, I would cut them to be a little bit higher.

I wore this outfit last weekend for a sushi dinner with my family. it was our second time eating at Sushi Confidential in downtown Campbell. The food was really good, so we had a lot of fun! If you are local, be sure to check it out!

My nine-year-old son took these photos. He was so cute trying to work my dslr camera! It is fun teaching him photography. I love how my two younger kids love to learn photography.

This past weekend my husband and my son went off to Cub Scout camp. This meant my two daughters and I had a weekend with just us girls! Can you say-Girls Weekend!!

Friday night we watched a movie and ate dinner at home. On Saturday, we did something the boys don’t like to do-we went shopping! I took the girls to Sino at Santana Row for Dim Sum, and we shopped around Santana Row. The weather was warm and summer-like, so it was a beautiful day to be walking around outside. While we were walking around, my cute little ten-year-old snapped these pictures for me. Isn’t she great!

Saturday evening we did some house-cleaning (so not glamorous), and watched another movie on TV. Super fun! On Sunday we went to church, did a Goodwill run, and ran a few errands. The rest of the day my older daughter had some volunteer work to do, and of course, homework! Ugh, cannot wait for school to be over!

All in all it was a quiet, family weekend with my girls. This easy breezy maxi skirt paired with a comfy tee worked perfectly for the hot weather, and hanging out with my daughters.
