Day three New York Fashion Week fall 2019 recap

photo: Son Jung Wan fall 2019 runway New York Fashion Week

The third day of New York Fashion Week was definitely my busiest day. I started out with one of my favorites, Custo Barcelona, followed by another one of my favorites, Son Jung Wan. Then, I attended two group shows from Oxford Fashion Studio. They each had multiple designers which is always fun to watch. I finished out the day with the Pony x Harbin runway show; which was absolutely amazing.

Out of all the days I attended fashion week, the third day offered the most color, envelope-pushing trends, and avant-garde styles. It was a really fun line-up of shows!

Without further ado, here is a recap of the shows I attended on day three of New York Fashion Week fall/winter 2019-2020.

The Custo Barcelona fall 2019 New York Fashion Week runway show was fabulous. There was a large amount of looks on the runway for the fall 2019 season, and they were bright, playful, and perfect for the upcoming cool weather season. Custo Barcelona played with texture, prints, faux fur, and intricate details while infusing a slight party vibe into his collection. These are great pieces to add to one’s closet in order to spice up one’s wardrobe, and infuse a playful fashion vibe. I need that black coat in my life!

You can see more from Custo Barcelona on his website, Custo.com.

Son Jung Wan fall 2019 New York Fashion Week

Son Jung Wan is always one of my favorite shows of fashion week. For the fall 2019 season, Son Jung Wan offered rich fabrications, texture, a touch of glitz, and that slight disco vibe I love seeing on her runway. I wish I was better at photographing sequins and sparkle! I need to work on that for September with my new camera! But, I digress. . .

Son Jung Wan offered an inviting collection of soft fabrics, sparkle, texture, volume, and a mix of color which was eye-catching. I would love to get that blue velvet jumpsuit in my closet!

Oxford Fashion Studio was a series of two shows with several designers. I wasn’t able to snap my own photos at these two shows, but I was able to grab a few PR photos from GPS to share with you. I loved the vivid blue hues designers chose to show on their runway, and I also loved the edgier designs. My favorite looks are shown above.

Pony x Harbin fall 2019 New York Fashion Week

Pony x Harbin was quite a show! The runway started off with a musical performance. You can see the singer in the first photo, and the band behind the second row of guests in the second photo. It was an amazing performance, and a music style I haven’t heard before. It definitely set the tone/mood for the show! After the performance, the models came down the runway. There were looks for both men and women. The collection offered an upscale street vibe with high-end sports-wear, and athleisure looks. The puffy coats looked warm, cozy, and chic! Loved!

In the middle of the show, there was another performance with a dragon, dancers, and martial arts. It was really fun to watch! There was also a performance artist painting on a long parchment on the floor while models walked the runway. It was hard for me to see his work, but you can make him out in the sixth photo above.

The fourth photo above is of the front row across from my seat. The man in green must be famous because the girls sitting around me were buzzing about him; unfortunately I don’t know who he is, but I took his picture to share with you anyway. Maybe you know who he is? If so, please let me know in the comments below!

I would love to find this collection online, or to learn where it is sold. Alas, the brand does not seem to have an Instagram account or website. Until I find one, you can see the designer’s online profile at NYFW.com.

That’s a wrap! Day three was a lot of fun, and I really loved the colorful and playful vibes from the runway shows that day. Which collection was your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by!

XOXO

Cathy

Day two New York Fashion Week fall 2019 recap

The second day of New York Fashion Week was a busy one! I had back-to-back shows, and had to decline two invitations because they overlapped. I decided to attend Fashion Hong Kong, Nonie, and Chiara Boni. They were fabulous shows with chic ensembles. These three runway shows offered several elegant, all-black looks, mixed neutrals, and a touch of glamour. It was a good combination of shows for the day!

Without further ado, here is a recap of day two at New York Fashion Week!

Fashion Hong Kong was a collective of three fabulous designers from Hong Kong. It’s always fun to see current fashions from other countries. Sometimes they are inspired by trends here in the US, while other times they can spark new trends for us here in the US. Everyone is constantly inspiring everyone. I loved the rich fabrications and artistic prints used by the Hong Kong designers, as well as all the purple. I am a huge fan of purple! I would also love one of those chic leather pieces to end up in my closet. These designers are fabulous. It would be amazing if they started to sell their collection here in the US!

You can see more collections online at Fashion Hong Kong’s website.

Nonie fall 2019 New York Fashion Week

nonie fall 2019 nyfw nonie fall 2019 nyfw nonie fall 2019 nyfw

Nonie was such a chic collection! I rushed to this show after Fashion Hong Kong, and I am so glad I arrived when everyone was still lining up. Nonie makes classic and chic designs; so chic they are worn by Duchess Meghan Markle herself. I loved the mix of neutrals with pops of red. Nonie also showed understated floral prints, and chic black ensembles. This is a classic collection we could all use as investment pieces in our closets. The coat featured in the first photo is on my fall wish list. Isn’t it fabulous?!

I wish more of my photos turned out, I am still learning to use my new camera, and I had issues adjusting the camera settings for the natural light in the background. The natural light did offer a beautiful setting for the runway show, I have to say. I loved seeing the city skyline as a backdrop to this chic collection. It really set a good vibe.

You can see more of Nonie’s collection online at Nonie.com.

Chiara Boni La Petite Robe fall 2019 New York Fashion Week

chiara boni le petite robe fall 2019 nyfw chiara boni nyfw fall 2019 chiara boni le petite robe fall 2019 nyfw

Chiara Boni’s fall 2019 New York Fashion Week collection was so chic and fabulous! I loved the vintage inspired hats, and elegant details on every ensemble that went down the runway. Although I wasn’t able to capture very many photos, I think you can see the vintage vibe from the show-and the fabulous hats! The hats really stole the show. Everyone was loving them; and talking about how they needed one in their fall 2019 wardrobe!

All of the looks which went down the Chiara Boni La Petite Robe fall 2019 NYFW runway offered un-fussy details, glamour, elegance, and an unspoken chic. The crowd was ooohing-and-aaahhhhing over the beautiful designs she showed for fall. The photo below is of the final look to go down the runway; the crowd cheered as the model posed for the cameras at the end of the runway. This look was chic, sophisticated, and flattering. Which brings me to this point; all of Chira Boni’s clothing is made to flatter a woman’s natural curves. Her designs highlight the best part of a woman’s body; making her designs not only fashionable and elegant; but confidence builders. We all need a little Chiara in our closets.

You can see more of her collection online at ChiaraBoni.com.

What are you loving from the fall 2019 runways in New York so far? Stay tuned for more coverage!

Day one New York Fashion Week fall 2019 recap

noon by noor new york fashion week fall 2019

Noon by Noor fall 2019 NYFW runway

The first day of New York Fashion Week, I attended three amazing shows. Noon by Noor was filled with the perfect items we all need in our closet this fall 2019 season. The color palette was neutral, and also reflected the current fall 2019 color trends. My next show on day one, was Laurence & Chico. They are a really fun designer brand filled with playful designs, and avant-garde fashion. They have the fun items we all need to add to our closets when we need to amp our personal style. I finished the day at Badgley Mischka, which was a beautiful collection of party and evening attire. The fall line will round out our fall event season wardrobe quite nicely.

Day one was really all we need to make our closets complete!

Without further ado, here are my favorite looks from each collection, why I loved them, and why they would compliment your style this fall.

Noon by Noor fall 2019 New York Fashion Week

Noon by Noor was one of my favorite shows this season. Everything on the runway would be perfect in my closet-and yours! These are a few examples of the fabulous choices for fall 2019 on the Noon by Noor runway. I loved the white dress which would make a fabulous swimsuit cover-up for a fall or winter getaway somewhere warm. There were several black go-to looks on the Noon by Noor fall 2019 runway. I loved the stripe pieces which added dimension to the all-black ensembles. This camel poncho is nothing short of fabulous. I love the black details, and the drape is luxurious, flattering, and downright chic. You can see more of the fall 2019 runway collection by Noon by Noor online at their website, NoonByNoor.com.

My apologies for the photos-I was using a new camera for the first time at fashion week and, well, I tried!

Laurence & Chico fall 2019 New York Fashion Week

I did better with my new camera at this show! Can you spot Miss Jay sitting front row in the second photo? Love!

Laurence & Chico really put on a fabulous show for fall 2019 at New York Fashion Week. The music evoked a club vibe, and the models put on a theatrical show as they pranced down the runway. It was so much fun! I fell in love with many of the jackets and coats, as well as the vintage vibe. The runway show theme took us to “Thai Thai Land.” There was a vintage vibe, and although the collection was playful, it did offer many structured looks which can easily be brought from the runway to the street. I can see myself wearing that brown tweed set pictured above, as well as that fabulous blue and pearl white coat. Love!

You can learn more about Laurence & Chico, as well as view their collection, online at LaurenceandChico.com.

Badgley Mischka fall 2019 New York Fashion Week

OK, my pictures did not come out very good. I did get one good photo of a model from the back. I loved the details on her gown, and how the dress offered a print on the bottom, with classic black on top. The final walk from Badgley Mischka’s fall 2019 New York Fashion Week runway show was full of red dresses. If you need a red dress this fall, Badgley Mischka is your go-to designer! There were so many fabulous red dresses! I wish my photos came out better!

I fell in love with all the sparkling fabrics on the runway, and the chic, classic lines of the collection. The dresses were timeless. Badgley Mischka really created a fall 2019 collection for New York Fashion Week which can withstand the test of time, and stay in a woman’s closet for many years to come. This is an investment collection. I fell in love!

You can view the entire collection online at BadgleyMischka.com.

What do you think of the new fall 2019 collection from New York Fashion Week so far? Are you as excited for fall as I am?!

Thanks for stopping by-and stay tuned for continuing coverage from NYFW!
