Mother’s Day Gift Guide to Santana Row 2017

It is that time of year again! Time to find that perfect somethin’ somethin’ for Mom. Well, there is no reason to stress out over finding the perfect gift for Mom this upcoming Mother’s Day. Santana Row, once again, has you covered.

First off, Mom should not have to cook on Mother’s Day. Thankfully, Santana Row has several fabulous restaurants to bring Mom to, so she can enjoy a meal prepared by someone other than herself. If you are seeking the perfect Mother’s Day brunch, Left Bank or Village California Bistro will have the perfect brunch for Mom on her special day. For the Mom who loves pasta, I highly recommend Maggiano’s. Perhaps Mom wants something a little more upbeat? Blowfish Sushi is the place to take her; and be sure to order the Pyramid of Tartare and the Ritso Roll. Yummy!! Mother’s Day at Santana Row restaurants is popular, for obvious reasons, so be sure to make a reservation through Open Table in order to ensure you won’t have to wait for a table.

If you are seeking more casual dining options, I highly recommend Tacolicious or Veggie Grill. YUM! When it is time for dessert, Smitten Ice Cream or Cocola will warm Mom’s heart; and satisfy her sweet tooth.

Has life been a little stressful for Mom lately? Why not treat her to a spa day at Burke-Williams Spa! She will LOVE it!

Of course, treating Mom to a yummy meal, and relaxing spa day, are both fabulous things to do, but you will still want to treat her to something special she can open when she wakes up in the morning on Mother’s Day. So I put together a Mother’s Day Gift Guide to Santana Row so you can rest assured you have found her the perfect somethin’ somethin’ for her special day. Oh, and if my kids or husband reads this; take notes! Hint, hint 😉

Kit & Ace is a fabulous men’s and women’s shop on Santana Row which offers high tech cashmere and fabrics. They have clothing which is machine washable; so perfect for the busy Mom who does not have time to run back and forth to the dry cleaners. Love that!

This is the perfect place to find Mom a scarf, jacket, sweater, or closet staple she will reach for every day of her life. Every time she reaches for her Kit & Ace piece, she will think of how fabulous you are! Now how’s that for the perfect Mother’s Day gift. I’m eyeing those scarves; just in case my family is reading this 😉

Jest Jewels

Jest Jewels is the place for finding a unique and special gift for Mom. They have the most beautiful pictures frames. Why not frame a photo which captures a special day or time you and Mom shared? She will love the personal thought, as well as the beautiful picture frame. Jest Jewels also has a section stocked with fabulous Mother’s Day themed gifts. Love the “Home is where you Mom is” mug! Also, these hats are perfect for a relaxing day by the pool, or at the beach, for Mom. Believe me, she needs a relaxing day by the pool or beach! Vera Bradley

Speaking of Mom needing to relax, why not head over to Vera Bradley for a vacation themed gift! She would love a travel backpack stocked with a hat, water bottle, and towel for the beach. Vera Bradley has the best poolside, or beach, accessories. I love the fun prints!

Don’t forget to include plane tickets to Hawaii, Jamaica, or any exotic location. If you prefer a local, staycation getaway, create your own car trip tickets to Capitola, Santa Cruz, or Stinson Beach. Then, slip your homemade tickets into a beach getaway bag. She will love it! I would like the yellow tote pictured above, and any of the towels; just in case my family is reading this. 😉

Kendra Scott

All Mothers love Kendra Scott. I repeat, all Mothers love Kendra Scott. You cannot go wrong with something from Kendra Scott. The shop at Santana Row just got in the summer collection, and let me tell you, it is fabulous. Look for these tassel earrings, or the classic Harlow necklace in summer stones and metals.

If you cannot decide, or you don’t see the perfect metal color and stone color combination for Mom, Kendra Scott can fix that for you! They have a “Color Bar” in-store where you can design the perfect ring, necklace, bracelet, or pair of earrings for Mom; and they will assemble it right there on-the-spot for you! Love that!

Fall Style at Santana Row

Fall has arrived! This means it is time to kick your fall style into gear. Of course, my favorite place to find the best styles for fall is right here in the San Francisco Bay Area at Santana Row.

Santana Row is filled with a variety of shops which offer the best styles for the fall season. Fall 2015 fashion is all about 70’s inspiration, cozy knits, boho-chic ensembles, shades of red, and layering for the micro-climates we enjoy here in the San Francisco Bay Area.

There are so many stores at Santana Row to stop into for the fall 2015 season, but I do have a few favorites. 😉 I highlighted my four favorite shops at Santana Row for fall 2015 below; of course, be sure to check out Kate Spade for the most fabulous collection of red for fall you will see this season. Also, be sure to stop in at H&M where you will find 70’s inspiration at wallet-friendly prices.

Without further adieu, here are my favorite shops for fall from Santana Row:

BCBG

BCBG has all the hottest trends from the fall 2015 runways packed under one roof.

They have tie blouses, also known as secretary blouses, in several styles. This is one of the hottest trends of the fall season. Pair a tie blouse with trousers for work or a suede a-line skirt for the office, dinner, or any occasion! Tie blouses also look fabulous when paired with flare jeans, which you can find at Free People for fall; scroll down for more info 😉

Felt hats are a continuing trend from last year which is gaining momentum. Expect to find more fabulous women sporting hats this season than we have seen since the 1960’s. BCBG has the best selection of neutrals and blues. You must check it out!

Trunk clutches are a new IT bag for fall 2015. We saw them gain popularity last season, and this season the trunk clutch is exploding! BCBG has them for under $200 and they are fabulous. I’m trying to decide which color to buy!

Free People

With the 70’s trend, and the boho-chic trend, in full swing for fall 2015, what better place to find the perfect ensemble for fall then Free People at Santana Row! They have a large selection of boho-chic dresses, tops, and flare jeans. They also have suede tops, fringe, and cozy knits. Love it!

One of the huge emerging trends in jewelry right now is the earring stack. This can be achieved with multiple ear piercings, or for a less invasive way to rock this trend, the use of ear cuffs and ear crawlers.

Free People has ear stacks already stacked up for you! As you can see in the first photo, Free People offers multiple pairs of earrings on one leather piece. These earrings can be mixed and matched for the ideal ear stack this fall season. Look for this trend to continue for the next few years. Invest now!

Kit & Ace

Santana Row’s newest storefront is Kit & Ace. This modern men’s and women’s shop offers cozy cashmere sweaters, scarves, outerwear, and more; many of which is made from washable cashmere! Love that!

They have all the perfect layering pieces a fashionista in the San Francisco Bay Area will need for fall 2015. Cozy wrap for when the fog rolls in? Check. Warm scarf to remove in the afternoon when the fog burns off? Check. Layering pieces to strip off as the day goes from foggy and fifty to sunny and seventy? Check, check, and check!

I am in love with all of their scarves and wraps. Look for at least one burgundy piece, and one neutral colored piece, to be ready for the cool fall weather.

Kit & Ace is located across from Cocola, so you can grab a warm hot cocoa, and tasty macaroon, before crossing the street to shop for everything cozy! Love that!

Calypso St Barth

Calypso St Barth has a fabulous collection for the fall 2015 season. As you know, fringe is a hot, continuing trend from last season, and Calypso St Barth has a wide array for the fall season. I am smitten with this fabulous fringe handbag and these cute booties.

The store also offers cozy knit sweaters, classic denim, artisan jewelry, their signature tunics, and everything you need to rock the lux, boho-chic trend this fall season.
