For years I have wished I owned the perfect black party suit. There are so many events during the holiday season, as well as throughout the year, when a formal suit would be the perfect attire for the occasion. I was thrilled when L’Wren Scott’s collection for Banana Republic debuted and it included the perfect dressy suit. I have already worn the suit to the San Jose Ballet’s “Nutcracker” and I am looking forward to wearing the suit to many more events this season. In addition to being worn as a suit, the sparkling pencil skirt can be paired with a sequin sweater while the blazer can worn over a silk skirt, trousers or even jeans for a girl’s night out! Love this!

Do you have a special occasion suit? If so, do you find yourself wearing it often?

Victoria Bracha, florals and berry hues

DSC0601 DSC0603 DSC0602 DSC0605

One of the big trends from summer 2013, which is continuing into fall 2013, is the floral trend. In addition to floral prints, berry hues ranging from bright summer fuchsia through to deep, dark burgundy are among the hottest colors for fall 2013. Since I love to incorporate runway trends into my own personal style, this floral top from local designer Victoria Bracha is the perfect answer to both the continuing floral trend and the berry hued trend.

Victoria Bracha is a Bay Area based designer who owns Bracha Boutique in downtown San Carlos, California. Bracha carries Victoria’s line as well as additional brands and designers who are both niche and popular. The entire store is a fabulous mix of apparel and accessories which are hard to find in other shops. Love that!

This top by Victoria Bracha is made from a cool, mesh fabric which is layered and not see through. (As one would assume it would be when the word “mesh” is mentioned!) The mesh fabric is surprisingly cool and allows the wind to breeze in and out; making this a fabulous top for spring and fall! Of course, it is also perfect for foggy, summer days too. Victoria Bracha also uses this fabric for dresses and other pieces which can be mixed and matched together. She also has additional colors and prints which are easy to wear in any season.

I paired my Victoria Bracha top with an A-line leather skirt. This works perfectly for going out in the evening. The top can also be paired with trousers for the office or jeans for casual days. I love versatility!

Silver and black with Rose Royce jeans

DSC0371 DSC0382 DSC0386 DSC0389

Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, we love denim. Let’s face it, San Francisco is the birthplace of the denim pant as know it! Therefore, anytime there is a fabulous new denim company in the world of jeans, I have to try them out!

Rose Royce jeans is a hot new denim company who designs unique styles with fabulous pockets! I love this! No-one wants boring pockets, denim pants are ALL about the pockets! And the fit too

What makes Rose Royce unique is the fact that the pockets vary on each style of denim the company makes. This means you can buy multiple pairs of great-fitting jeans from the same brand and no two pairs will look alike! Love that!

In this article I am wearing the black Rose Royce “Royce” skinny jean. I love the flower buttons on the front and back, as well as the fit! The jeans offer a little bit of stretch which helps them fit perfectly and feel comfortable. Rose Royce fit true to size too; which makes ordering online easy.

Contest: Rose Royce has assembled together fourteen fashionable and fabulous bloggers in a style contest! The bloggers photos’ are on Rose Royce’s Facebook Page and the blogger who receives the most “likes” on their profile picture in the slideshow will win a prize! So now, I must do some shameful begging and ask you to pop over to the slideshow and cast your vote for who you think styled their Rose Royce jeans the best. The contest slideshow is online here. Thank you for your support and don’t forget to “like” Rose Royce on Facebook too!
