Last month, the San Francisco SPCA hosted a fabulous fashion show which featured local designers, and cute pups, for a crowd of over 2000 people. This amazing benefit resulted in 120 pet adoptions!

The runway was filled with current styles from vegan designers Jill Milan, and Claire Farwell London, along with adoptable pets from the San Francisco SPCA (which happens to be a no-kill shelter who houses animals in condo’s instead of cages), Muttville, and Palomacy

Designers Jill Milan, and Claire Farwell London, will donate 10% of sales in the month of June, on purchases made with coupon code SPCA10, to the San Francisco SPCA.

This past weekend I went to Lake Tahoe with my Mom to see the Saks Fifth Avenue presents Oscar de la Renta resort 2015 benefit for the League to Save Lake Tahoe. You can read about the event here. It was a fun and relaxing weekend getaway; and it was fun to take a trip with my Mom! We both figured out that we have not traveled alone, just the two of us, since I was in college! Although I missed my husband and three beautiful children dearly, it was nice to take a break and hang out with Mom.

I love earrings with unique details and which are able to stand out from my dark brown hair. These adorable earrings from jewelry designer Jenny Present are perfect since they offer a beautiful design with small sparkling details and the color contrasts nicely with my brunette hair.

I am very excited to have been introduced to Jenny Present and look forward to adding more jewelry pieces from her collection to my wardrobe in the future. I especially love the “Design Your Own” jewelry feature on Jenny Present’s website! You can make a special piece as a gift  or for yourself! Love that!

Jenny Present also has bridal jewelry which is perfect for the bride as well as her bridesmaids. Now those are beautiful bridal party gifts! 😉

My Jenny Present wish list is growing. I currently have my eyes on these earrings, this necklace and this fabulous bracelets.

Navy and stripes

One of my favorite colors to wear is navy. Navy blue is a color which makes me feel confident; and the color is just as slimming as black. I also feel like navy is a great alternative to classic black during the warm summer months. So, instead of a little black skirt this summer season, I am opting for the little navy skirt! This skirt will work well with many different blouses and tops this summer and will carry me through the warm fall temperatures we enjoy here in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Do you have a favorite, classic color you enjoy wearing as an alternative to black? If so, please share!

Also, don’ forget the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is going on right now, and public access starts tomorrow!
