High heeled sandals for the summer 2014 season are hot! Unlike summer 2013, summer 2014 is giving Fashionistas everywhere flat soles (also referred to as “single soles”) and high design. Simple sandals with a high heel are simply not around this season!

As you can see in the photos above, high heel sandals were spotted on the runway with wrap-around ties used as both ankle straps and the structure of the shoe. (see the green, lace-up pair peeking out on the left in the top photo). My apologies for the photo quality. My seat was not that great!

High heel sandals for summer 2014 are being shown in varying styles with the two most popular silhouettes shown above. The hottest style this season is like the green pair above. Lace-up sandals are hotter than hot; and they are shown in both high heel and flat versions for the hot weather season. In addition to lace-up sandals, the ankle strap is hot for summer 2014 and it is being shown with one thick strap in front of the toes. Although there are many, many more high heel sandal styles on the market for the summer 2014 season, these are the two hottest styles being shown with thin heels.

Although thin heels are the most popular heel being shown with tie-up sandals, chunky heels and wedges can also be found on the market. Ankle straps being shown for summer 2014 can be found in both the tie up version as well as a single strap with a buckle.

For summer 2014, high heel sandals look amazing with cropped pants, midi skirts/dresses and boyfriend jeans. If you are looking for a heel to wear with shorts, look for a thick, stacked heel with a thicker body and no tie straps.

I found a few fabulous thin heeled, high heel sandals around the web and assembled them into the shopping widget below. I hope you love them! Happy shopping, and stay fabulous 😉

Spring 2013 trends: the mirrored shoe

Metallics have been hot for the past several years, so it is no wonder that designers are taking this sparkling trend to the next level for the spring 2013 season. Mirrored shoes for spring 2013 have been popping up on store shelves as well as on the feet of the fabulous. These shining shoes feature mirrored leather or faux-leather material in bright shades of silver, gold, rose gold, pewter and even colors!

That’s right! The mirrored shoe is hot for spring 2013. This not-so-subtle shoe style began appearing in 2012, but for spring 2013 the style has exploded into what may be the most important shoe fabrication of the upcoming warm weather season.

Mirrored shoes are being shown in every shoe style possible, but the hottest styles, and in our opinion the most flattering shoe styles, are classic pointed-toe pumps and high heel sandals. While mirrored sneakers, flats and boots have made their way onto store shelves, these styles seem less, shall we say, wearable?

The mirrored pump or high heel sandal is the ultimate way to rock this shining trend for the spring 2013 season. Mirrored shoes can be worn during the day with almost anything and are a modern alternative to satin, glitter or crystal encrusted pumps/sandals at night. A day-into-evening shoe style! Rare but fabulous! Love that!

We found a few amazing mirrored shoes around the web and assembled them into this article. We hope you love them. Shine on! Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

The pointed toe for spring 2013

Pointed toe shoes are classic and the toe style tends to swing in and out of style every few years. For spring 2013, pointed toe shoes are hotter than hot; so hot, they burn! The pointed toe is everywhere this upcoming spring season; making the round toe and almond toe feeling oh-so-last-year! Even the open toe is feeling a little left out.

Pointed toes are on every shoe style imaginable including high heels, low heels, kitten heels (yes-they are coming back), wedges and flats. The most important pointed toe of the season is proving to be the classic 4” pump as Fashionistas and shoe fans everywhere are flocking to this classic style from designers such as Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Valentino, Prada and more.

The pointed toe is being shown in every fabrication imaginable including suede, leather, faux leather, mirrored metallics, lace, PVC, fabrics and pony hair. The ladylike and demure style is also being decorated with edgy embellishments including studs and spikes.

Many shoe fans will find pointed toe shoes stored in the back of the closet from seasons’ past; but it is always fun to add to one’s collection! This spring 2013 season, look for pastel hues or bright colors on a 4” heeled pump. If you are feeling frisky, look for additional touches such as studs or spikes. Love this!

Of course there is one warning with the pointed toe. This shoe style tends to have less room in the toe box than other toe styles. Many Fashionistas find themselves wearing a half size up in pointed toe shoes. Therefore, don’t worry about the size on the box; it is more important to find the right fit. After all, nothing is more unfashionable than not being able to walk L Happy shopping, walking and of course, stay fabulous
