The Chloe Faye is a beautiful handbag from one of my favorite design houses; Chloe. This chic handbag offers a 1970’s vibe with a flap closure, (often referred to as a Saddle Bag), and two large, interior compartments. There is also a roomy zipper pocket inside. 

I have been eyeing the Chloe Faye since Chloe sent it down the runway a couple of seasons ago. The handbag started to appear on the streets in full force during spring 2015. For fall 2015, the Chloe Faye is flying off of store shelves and seems to be an upcoming IT bag for the season. Love that!

My medium Chloe Faye is extremely easy to wear. The handbag is lightweight, and the interior compartments make it easy to organize my purse essentials. The flap closure offers a strong magnetic snap which is fuss-free. Love that!

There is a lot of versatility in the Chloe Faye! The shoulder strap is detachable, which allows the Chloe Faye to be worn as a large, daytime clutch. The shoulder strap is also adjustable. I prefer to wear the handbag with the strap attached. I also prefer the strap adjusted as short as possible. I like the handbag under my arm; not dangling low. It just feels right.

The Chloe Faye shoulder bag has two sizes which are popular; the small and the medium. I chose the medium size because I like to have room for extra items my kids might ask me to hold; or I may just want to take extra things with me somewhere! I am also eyeing the small size, and may eventually break down and get one. Not that I have a handbag addiction or anything 😉 ha!

The medium Chloe Faye measures in at 10″ X 12.5″ X 1.5″ and the strap offers a 12″ drop. Chloe Faye is made in Italy.

I really enjoy carrying  my medium Chloe Faye. The handbag bag is user-friendly, on trend, and has an IT factor to it. All things I love in a handbag! The 1970’s vibe, and mixed fabrication, make the handbag unique; another feature I am in love with! This is definitely a great handbag to own for now, and many seasons to come!

The Chloe Drew shoulder bag has turned into one of the hottest bags of the year. The mini size, and small size, have taken the street by storm. The Chloe Drew is being spotted on everyone from magazine editors to celebrities to style bloggers to socialites, and more!

There is a lot going for the Chloe Drew, which is what makes it so popular. This beautiful handbag is made from soft, pebbled leather (Chloe has also made versions in suede and exotic skins), which is strong and high quality. The interior of the handbag is a luxurious suede which is soft yet sturdy. Chloe is known for their exquisite construction, and the Drew is no exception. The Chloe Drew offers even stitching, perfect shape, and the highest end hardware in the handbag market.

At less than $2000 for most styles, the Chloe Drew is also within financial grasp of many Fashionistas. Not that $2000 is affordable by any means, it is considered high-end luxury, but with many designers in the same space as Chloe selling bags for upwards of $5000, the Drew is attractively priced for the market it targets.

The popularity of the Chloe Drew handbag also can be attributed to the current trend towards everything influenced by the 1970’s. The 70’s are a big influence in fashion today, and since the flap style shoulder bag is very of-the-moment, the Chloe Drew fits right into this handbag trend. What sets the Chloe Drew apart from other classic, flap-style shoulder bags is the unique twist and lock clasp, simple yet elegant chain strap, and the connectors that go with it.

The Chloe Drew shoulder bag is currently shown in a mini size, small size, and medium size. I purchased the small size because it can fit my sunglasses case; which is mission-critical! In addition to my sunglasses case, my Chloe Drew can fit my wallet, lipstick, keys, and iPhone with a small space left-over for incidental items my kids tend to hand me when we are out. Kids are good at finding things for parents to hold. 😉

Weight can sometimes be an issue with well-made, luxury handbags which feature a lot of hardware. This is not the case with the small Chloe Drew. It is lightweight and does not pull down on my shoulder. Love that!

The clasp on the Chloe Drew is a new style for me. It features an attached rod which acts like a key. This can be inserted into the clasp and turned in order to lock the handbag shut. I have also found it is easier to just twist the closure with my hand and leave the key dangling. Either method of locking is easy and effective.

I am in love with my Chloe Drew! I wish I had a money tree in my backyard so that I could purchase this beautiful bag in more colors and styles. I have my eye on this suede version for fall.

The Chloe Drew handbag is practical, beautiful, well-made, and luxurious. The flap closure is a classic design, yet still on trend with the current 1970’s styles featured on the runways. I rate the Chloe Drew handbag five out of five stars!

The Givenchy Antigona is one of my favorite handbags of all time. So, I am thrilled to review the Givenchy Antigona in Sugar leather, size small, for you!

The Givenchy Antigona satchel is considered a classic, doctor bag style satchel. It has an east/west silhouette with a roomy interior. The sides are wide; allowing the handbag to be larger inside than it appears from the outside.

Givenchy has designed the Antigona in several sizes. The smallest size is the mini, which is a cross-body style that fits perfectly into the current mini-satchel trend. The next size up is the small. This is the size I own. The interior easily fits a paperback novel, an iPad mini, a wallet, keys, lipstick, smart phone, and more! I wore my small Antigona to fashion week last February and my DSLR camera fit nicely inside, along with my wallet, phone, keys, gloves, and knit beanie! It definitely is bigger inside than it seems on paper! The next size up is the medium. This is a larger version of the Antigona which is ideal for someone who needs more space than what I described the small size offers.

Givenchy’s Antigona features two top handles which are easy to wear on the forearm or handheld. There is also a detachable shoulder strap which is ideal for short periods of time. Since the handbag is rounded, and the strap is short, the handles end up getting in the way when it is worn as a shoulder bag. I only use the strap when I need both hands, or if I need to be able to run after one of my kids, or a taxi. I find the easiest way to carry the bag is by hand; but I also wear it on my forearm about 30% of the time.

The sugar leather is soft and pebbled. This leather is fabulous! I was caught in the snow in New York and the handbag didn’t show any signs of moisture. I also wear the bag when I am with my kids at the park, and other child-related activities. The leather does not show any scratches. It is as strong as pebbled leather, or saffiano leather. Love it!

The top handles on the Givenchy Antigona are extremely strong. When I was in New York, I stuffed my DSLR camera, and many other objects, into the bag. The camera alone has quite a bit of weight to it, and the handbag didn’t sag or show any signs of stress. Perfection!

The interior space of the Givenchy Antigona is nicely made and easy to use. The lining is a thick, strong canvas which can take a beating. There is a roomy zipper pocket on one of the interior, and an open, double pocket on the opposite side. The double pocket has one small opening and one medium sized opening. The medium opening is perfect for my iPhone, and the small pocket is the perfect size for a lipstick, or portable phone charger. These pockets come in very handy while traveling.

Overall, I have zero complaints about my Givenchy Antigona. I would love to own another one in a light neutral color; or maybe a fun seasonal color! If I do purchase a second one, I will stick with the small size and sugar leather. The small size is perfect for my lifestyle, and the sugar leather is strong, and it remains scratch-free from travel; and the wrath of my  three children!
