Raise your hand if you wore acid wash jeans, stone wash, and sand wash jeans in the late 1980s? My hand is way up! These jeans evoke that late 1980s vibe, and I am here for it!

OK, I will be honest, I cannot tell if these jeans are acid wash or stone wash, or some other wash that is new. They look like either acid wash or stone wash. The description does not specify the wash. Of course, back in the day, it was very important for customers to know what type of wash they were buying, since it was an important part of denim fashion! Remember that?

In addition to 1980s denim washes, the silhouettes from that time period are hot again this season too. Look for classic cuts, and higher waists. Of course, 1970s styles are hot right now too such as wide leg and flare. I plan to rock both this season!

To make a full, 1980s vibe I paired my jeans with high top sneakers and a crop top. This is a very late 1980s look! If you plan to rock a crop top this season, remember to pair it with higher waisted jeans. Crop tops do not go with low rise jeans.

This was a fun outfit to wear the other day when we ate out in Japantown San Jose at Okayama Sushi. These sneakers were nice and comfy for walking around, and high tops, which were hot in the 1980s, are hot again now!

For a full 1980s vibe, I wore my green handbag for a fun pop of color. It is so much fun wearing fall outfits now!

Wide leg jeans for short people

wide leg jeans fall denim trends

wearing: sunglasses / large hoop earrings (under $100) / stripe mock neck top / G buckle belt / dark wash wide leg jeans (wearing short, also comes in regular and tall) / caramel hobo bag / fall nail polish / golden boots /

I am so happy fall is here! The weather is better, and the fall styles are so fun and fresh! Love! It was refreshing to be able to wear this new fall outfit and enjoy a relaxing lunch with my friend Dawn from Fashion Should be Fun. She took these outfit photos!

If you have been following along, you may have heard me talk about how wide leg pants have too much fabric on someone short as myself. Well, I found wide leg jeans for short people like me! If you are short, or you shop in the petite department, I found wide leg jeans we can wear! Yay!

These fabulous, 1970s vibe jeans are available in short, regular, and tall. I am 5’4″ so regular jeans which are wide leg, flare, or bell bottom, are usually waaaaaaaaaay too long for me. So when I saw these jeans in short, and tried them on, I was hooked! They don’t hit the floor in bare feet, yet they hit in just the right spot with boots. My boots have a 2″ block heel, so they are tall, but not too tall. If I wanted to wear sneakers or loafers with these jeans I could, since the jeans are the right length.

The cool thing about these jeans, is if you are not short like me, they also come in regular and tall. I have a good friend who is tall, so I know she can wear these in the tall size. Love that!

Word on the street is that skinny jeans are over, much to my chagrin. So, it is time we find the new styles in our sizes! This fall season, we all need to replace our skinny jeans with a pair of wide leg jeans, and a pair of flares. I will definitely be posting more jeans as I find styles that work with short legs like mine!

Now that we have discussed jeans, let’s talk about food! haha My friend Dawn and I enjoyed a yummy lunch at The Counter at Santana Row. If you have not eaten at The Counter, you must go! They have a large variety of possible sandwich combinations you can customize on your own. I love their Impossible burger with cheese, mushrooms, and pesto. They also have meat burgers, chicken and veggie. It’s so good!

Pink blazer and jeans

Wearing: purple and gold earrings / sunglasses / black twist neck top / pink tweed blazer / G buckle belt / jeans (old, love this pair) / fall nail polish / ivory handbag / golden boots /

I’m wearing bright pink! The Barbiecore trend is so much fun, and I love that this trend is so easy to wear and integrate into anyone’s personal style. Some people who love a bold look can rock bright pink in an all-over, tonal look. Others, like myself, who just want a touch of pink, can rock this trend with one article of clothing, or even with accessories such as earrings, a bracelet, or a scarf. Love it!

This blazer is really fun. I love the tweed fabric and the bright hue. It is easy to throw over jeans, a skirt, or a dress for a polished, Barbiecore look. Love that!

One of the color combo’s a few designers played with for fall was adding purple touches to pink. Yes, the pink and purple combo we all wore in the 1980s, it might catch on again! So, I paired my pink blazer with purple earrings just to have a touch of my favorite childhood color combo. Seriously, I think my whole closet was pink and purple back in the day! haha

Since I was in a fun mood, I paired my pink blazer with my golden boots. Aren’t they a kick! This pair is actually quite comfortable, and I was able to walk in them as strolled through San Jose’s Japantown and enjoyed lunch at Minato. If you haven’t been, it is an old, established restaurant that has been in San Jose for decades. They have delicious entrees with very generous portions. I had a tone of leftovers! The food is really good, and the service is exceptional. If you haven’t been yet, you need to go now!

I enjoyed the tempura lunch and my mom had a steamer bowl. They were both sooooo good!! Both dishes are delicious, in case you are wondering what to order.
