One of the hardest things to shop for is jeans! At 5’4″ tall, I find the majority of jeans on the market way too long for me. I often have to spend extra money tailoring my jeans in order to fit my short legs. One huge problem I encounter is when I have to shorten bootcut, flare, or bell bottom jeans. When I have boot cut, flare, or bell bottom jeans shortened, I lose half the flare of the jean, thus ruining the silhouette of the pant. Can I tell you how annoying and frustrating this can be???

Due to this problem, I often find myself going straight to the Gap and purchasing their jeans in the “short” or “ankle” length. Since the Gap has great prices, this is not really a bag thing. I have to admit, I do get bored of always buying the same brand of jeans! So, I decided to try on a few pairs of petite jeans to see how they would fit.

I am not really sure why I haven’t tried petite jeans before. I already wear petite pants, so why have I not tried jeans?! Why did it take me so long to have this revelation?! Ah, the universe will never know. 😉

I was thrilled when I tried Citizens of Humanity flare jeans in a petite size. They fit perfectly! I have found denim heaven. Not only do these jeans fit perfectly, I do not have to shorten them, and they are soft and comfortable. Love that!

Petite jeans are now going to be my new guilty pleasure. I feel like a kid in a candy store trying on jeans that fit me! Yay! Since I love these petite jeans by Citizens of Humanity so much, I plan to get a few more pairs for the fall season.

What is your favorite line of denim?

Denim is a huge trend for the spring and summer 2015 seasons. Denim and chambray fabric are being shown on every type clothing, and every type of accessory, one can imagine. With denim being such a huge trend right now, it is no wonder that denim shoes are a hot accessory for the spring and summer 2015 seasons.

One of the easiest ways to update your wardrobe with a trend, is with a pair of shoes! They can be worn with multiple outfits and, well, they are shoes! Need I say more? We love shoes 🙂

Denim shoes for spring and summer 2015 are being shown in every style imaginable for the warm weather season. There are so many options including, denim pumps, denim espadrilles, denim sandals, denim wedges, denim sneakers; and denim everything! Despite the dressy nature of pumps, when they are denim, they are instantly taken down a notch. This means denim pumps can be worn as a way to add a little sass to an otherwise casual outfit when you are not in the mood for flats. Love that!

The shade of denim on shoes for spring and summer 2015 is up to you! Although the majority of denim shoes are being shown in a medium “wash,” there are plenty of pale shades, and dark indigo shades, on shoes for spring and summer 2015. There is a shade of denim for every taste this season. Versatility=perfection 😉

Is the 1970’s trend your vibe this season? Groovy! Denim wedges are a great way to rock two trends at once; 70’s wedges and 2015 denim. Modern meets vintage, love that!

I found a few fabulous wedges, pumps, flats, espadrilles, and sandals in denim for the spring and summer 2015 seasons and assembled them into the shopping widgets below. I hope you love them! Happy shopping, and stay fabulous. 😉

Spring 2015 is bringing us a nod to the 1970’s. There was 1970’s inspiration all over the runways for spring 2015 in New York, Milan, Paris and London. After seeing this trend on the runways explode on the street for spring 2015, I decided to shop my closet for a little 1970’s inspiration.

Gap’s Long & Lean jeans have been a longtime favorite of mine; and with the skinny jean trend, mine have sat in my closet begging to be worn for the past few years. I was thrilled to take them out and look at the 1970’s silhouette these jeans offer. They also happen to be a LOT more comfortable than skinny jeans! Love that!

Military green and military jacket styles are also a continuing trend from 2014 which is proving to be important for 2015. So, I was happy to find my military green, military inspired style jacket from last year fits perfectly into this continuing trend. I’m looking forward to wearing this 1970’s inspired outfit now and into spring 2015.

What do you think of the 1970’s silhouette and trends including boho-chic, military and flare jeans, coming into style for spring 2015?
