I am so excited to announce the Chanel holiday 2018 nail polish collection has arrived! The fall collection was nice, but didn’t really excite me like Chanel nail polish tends to do every season. So when the Chanel holiday 2018 beauty collection hit store shelves, I was thrilled! These colors are fabulous!!!

There are two beautiful colors in the Chanel holiday 2018 nail polish collection; Chanel Flamboyance and Chanel Opulence. One hue is a twist on a traditional Christmas color, while the other is bordering on avant-garde, love that!

Since these two nail polish colors are so pretty, I have immediately switched from fall nails to holidays nails; and plan to wear these colors throughout the entire season. They are THAT fabulous! I’m really excited about Chanel Opulence, which I feel is a great color for transitioning from fall into the holiday season. Chanel Flamboyance will be my go-to after Thanksgiving since it is the perfect color for the holiday season. I’m excited-I hope you are too!!

So, without further ado, here are the two fabulous hues from the Chanel holiday 2018 nail polish collection!

How pretty is this color! Chanel Flamboyance is a classic cherry pie red with a twist. It has sparkles! Who doesn’t love sparkles during the holiday season! I wish I had the ability to post a video on my blog in order to show you how sparkly this polish really is. It’s a beautiful cherry pie red with just the right amount of  pink undertones. When mixed with the sparkles-which are much smaller than glitter bits-this polish offers a festive sophistication you will want to wear all. the. time!

I tested out Chanel Flamboyance nail polish for the 2018 holiday season with one base coat, and two coats of color. It was chip resistance, and offered a smooth, even color without any streaks. It’s beautiful! I’m not normally a red nail polish kind of gal, but this color is really pretty, and I love the sparkles; so I will definitely be rocking it after Thanksgiving for the holiday season.

OK, Chanel Opulence is my favorite color of the two hues in Chanel’s holiday 2018 beauty collection. While I am in love with both colors, this one is beyond fabulous. I tried really hard to capture the two personalities of this color with my camera. When I photographed it straight on, the gold sheen showed up perfectly. I tried to turn my hand and find the right angle to capture the purplish-red hues in the color; which is the photo on the bottom. The photo still didn’t capture the depth of the color, but I think you can see how the polish changes color in light, or according to angle. I hope!

Chanel Opulence nail polish is a beautiful golden red hue for the holiday season. It looks different in various lights, and also at alternate angles. It’s such a fun nail polish! The golden red has both a fall vibe, and a holiday look to it; which makes it the perfect nail polish hue for transitioning from the fall 2018 season into the holiday 2018 season. Love that!

I tested out Chanel Opulence nail polish from the Chanel holiday 2018 nail polish collection with one base coat, and two coats of color. Just like most of Chanel’s longwear nail polishes, Opulence by Chanel was chip resistant and offered an even, streak-free application. It’s such a pretty polish!

The fabulous new nail polish collection for the fall 2018 season from Chanel has arrived! “Le Mat de Chanel” is an autumn beauty collection filled with shades of deep dark burgundy and classic red; all matte. There is nothing shiny, sparkly, or glittery about Chanel’s fall 2018 make-up collection. It is dark, autumnal, serious, and very matte.

Instead of three or four nail polish hues for the fall season, as Chanel normally puts out for a big season, there are two colors. Chanel Profondeur is a deep, burgundy hue which is vampy and quite fall-like. Chanel Ultime is a traditional classic red hue with a twist. The matte finish makes it an understated and very serious red. I love these two colors!

For the fall 2018 season, we are seeing a more traditional autumn color palette. Colors are darker, more understated, and offer a 1970s vintage vibe. The two new nail polish colors from the Chanel “Le Mat de Chanel” fall 2018 beauty collection fit right into what we will be seeing on store shelves for the upcoming cool weather season. This makes both colors easy to wear as we transition from summer into fall; especially Chanel Ultime nail polish since it is a classic red hue with a matte finish. This is a color that can easily be worn now, and as we move into the fall season.

Chanel Ultime velvet nail polish for fall 2018 is a medium red hue which appear to be a classic scarlet color when first applied. As the nail polish dries, the matte finish appears which gives nails a softer yet vibrant red hue. I normally shy away from red nail polishes, but Chanel Ultime’s matte finish makes this an easy red nail polish to wear. I don’t feel like my nails are flashy with Ultime, the matte finish gives them a surprisingly understated look. Love that!

In order to test out Chanel Ultime nail polish, I used one base coat and two coats of color. The nail polish went on smoothly, and evenly, in two coats. It did not streak or leave bubbles. This was an easy application! As with other Chanel nail polish hues, Ultime by Chanel is chip resistant and long lasting.

I mentioned earlier that this color will be great to wear as we move from summer into fall. Well, I meant it! Since Chanel Ultime is a classic red hue, it can be worn with our current wardrobes as well as into the fall season. In fact, it is such a timeless hue that Ultime by Chanel could easily be worn during all four seasons. Love!

Chanel nail polish fall 2018: Chanel Profondeur

I wanted Chanel Profondeur to be my favorite of the two autumn hues, but it leaves streaks when applied. In the photo above, you can see it with one base coat and two coats of color. In order to get a solid application, Chanel Profondeur needs three coats. Aside from the extra step in application, this is a really nail polish hues. The matte finish offers a little edgy vibe to the otherwise classic fall color.

Chanel Ultime and Chanel Profondeur are both fabulous nail polish colors which will easily carry us through the fall season. The matte finish gives both of them a fresh and unique look for the autumn season; plus there is something understated yet edgy about matte. Such a contradiction-but so true!

June 2018 is here! This month I am focusing on a summer beauty routine. Last month I switched up my skin care routine, this month I am switching up my hair care routine.

A few years ago I started to get quite a few grey hairs peeking out of my brown hair. The last thing I wanted to do was to get into a cycle where I needed to color my hair in order to cover my grays. Finally, last month, I realized I could hold out no more. The grey hairs were starting to really bother me. So, my hair stylist dyed my hair with a semi-permanent color and added back my highlights; making my hair look like my natural hair! Love it!

Now that my hair is color treated, I need to ensure I am properly caring for it so that it does not get horribly dry and brittle. I love these “Aura Botanica” hair care products from Kerastase. They have a fabulous scent, and moisturize my hair perfectly; especially since I have recently started coloring my hair. I am in love with these products!

In between hair color sessions, if my grey starts to show, my hair stylist recommended this great root touch-up product by Style Mist. Dark brown is my color, and it’s great for covering up my roots between appointments. This is a must-have!

I love this new eye shadow palette from Urban Decay. Don’t they always have the best palettes?! These colors are so pretty and perfect for summer. They are great for warm summer evening eye looks!

Since summer is a time for dry skin, this new moisturizing lip balm by Chanel is a life saver. It’s a great way to add subtle color while adding moisture to lips. Leave it to Chanel to invent something fabulous!
