Chanel releases their spring 2012 runway nail polish: Attraction is here

Chanel has released their spring 2012 runway nail polish color, “Attraction” to stores this month and with the pearly white shade, the iconic fashion house has also released three additional, late spring colors. The three additional colors, “Distraction,” “Frisson” and “Tentation” are shimmering colors which are also on-trend for the spring 2012 season.

“Attraction” is the long-awaited runway shade from the Chanel spring 2012 show during Paris Fashion Week last fall. The hue, which offers a pearly white color, needs three applications to not show streaks. This is the perfect warm weather neutral since it can be worn with all of the bright colors of the spring 2012 season. This is also an easy color to wear on toes since it will not clash with colorful sandals and open toe pumps; love that!

For those who enjoy a bit more color and are getting bored with April, May and June, the new late-spring shades are juicy and packed with sparkling color. “Distraction” is a fabulous bright pink with an orange undertone. This warm color applies perfectly in two coats and works well with all the orange, yellow and pink colors of the spring season. Love!

“Frisson” is the perfect pink for the Fashionista who has embraced the pastel color trend for the spring 2012 season. This light pink is sweet and candy-like; it too applies nicely in two coats.

“Tentation” is a dark pink with cherry red undertones which works well with shades of pink, red, purple, fuschia, blue and green this spring season. This is a great alternative to red for Fashionistas who enjoy a more classic nail polish, but are ready to break away from regular reds.

While the “IT” polish for late spring is Chanel’s “Attraction,” the other late-spring colors, and the early spring colors of “April,” “May” and “June” are all perfect and on-trend for the warm weather season. So many options=fabulous!

Bay Area Fashionista tip: We love “Attraction” on toes and wearing “Distraction,” “Frisson,” “Tentation,” “April,” “May” or June” on the fingers. Since spring 2012 is all about color, why miss out on the opportunity to show off your colorful side with your hands! “Distraction” is perfect for toes since toenails are so close to shoes, you never have to worry about clashing.

Spring 2012 nail polish trends: the IT Chanel shade is in

Move over Chanel Peridot and Rouge Carat, Chanel’s spring 2012 nail polish colors have hit store shelves and just like every season, the three new shades, April, May and June are flying off of store shelves. While we revealed April, May and June by Chanel earlier in the season, the “IT” color of spring 2012 has been identified and it is sure to send Fashionistas to the nearest beauty counter-stat!

The “IT” color of spring 2012 is Chanel’s June. The creamy, vivid peach color is a softer yet saturated shade of orange; reminiscent of an orange creamsicle. With Pantone’s Tangerine Tango being the “IT” color of 2012, it is only natural that Fashionistas would flock to Chanel June for their nail color. The color offers a creamy yet bright shade which blends well with spring 2012’s overall color palette of Tangerine, bright yellow, pink, cobalt blue, apple green and purple; while working with Paris’s answer to a spring color palette which is a mix of pastels.

Chanel June is an interesting shade of creamy orange. When the color is set against shade of pink, it takes on a pinkish-orange tone which appears to take on a dark pastel shade. When worn with orange, Chanel June takes on a more orange-tone hue which appears slightly brighter than pastel and ventures into brighter pastures. June by Chanel is definitely a versatile shade of orange which can be worn easily with spring 2012’s bright colors, pastels, floral prints and contemporary prints; basically the color works with all trends! Love that!

The second most sought after shade from Chanel’s spring 2012 nail polish collection is April. Chanel’s April is a shade of red which seems as if it has a combination of fuchsia and purple infused into the polish. The cool shade of red blends well with spring 2012’s color palette; except when worn with shades of orange, which it slightly clashes with.

Lastly, if red and orange are not your thing, May is a cool shade of pink which works well with spring’s color trends and offer s feminine and sweet color choice.

So the verdict is in. To have the ultimate, up-to-the-minute shade of nail polish gracing your fingertips, run, don’t walk to the nearest Chanel Boutique, Neiman  Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom or Macy’s and pick up a bottle of Chanel April nail polish for spring 2012. To achieve the ultimate color saturation, we recommend using three coats.

Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

Chanel spring 2012 nail polish colors give us a peek into new nail trends

Chanel’s spring 2012 nail polish colors, April, June and May, have been revealed courtesy of polyvore.com. The hot new shades of Chanel nail polish will no doubt fly off of store shelves; as Chanel nail polish tends to do every season. Chanel’s new spring 2012 nail polish colors, April,  June and May are classic yet sassy; and anything but understated.

While bright and bold colors dominated the runways in the spring 2012 shows throughout the world, Paris designers gave the fashion world more of a pastel hue for the season. Although Chanel’s show was predominately white, nails were bright and bold, with a touch of timelessness.

Chanel April is a classic red color which is bouncing off the holiday 2011 collection that included Rouge Carat; a classic pinkish red. June by Chanel is a peachy orange which will work perfectly with spring 2012’s color of the season “Tangerine Mango” by Pantone. (also commonly known as orange) April is a soft, almost pinkish orange which will be easy to wear with both bold colors and pastels; making it a good transitional color for Fashionistas who plan to wear pastels and brights this spring 2012 season. Lastly, Chanel May is a candy pink reminiscent of Spring 2011’s “Honeysuckle” pink and resort 2011’s Candy pink. Chanel May will also work with both pastels and brights for the spring 2012 season while giving Fashionistas a sassy yet classic choice of nail color.

As the spring 2012 season begins to arrive on store shelves early next year, it should be interesting to see which Chanel nail color becomes the “IT” nail polish of the season. Will it be April, June or May?
