Studs spring into fall 2012

Studs are staying put for the fall 2012 season and popping up on everything! Studs and the rocker-chic trend have been hot for the past several seasons, and have been in and out of fashion for the past decade. For fall 2012, studs are appearing on almost everything.

Studded shoes are the hottest way to rock the stud trend for the fall 2012 season. Studded heels are one of the more popular ways shoes are being encrusted for the fall 2012 season. Studs are also being shown on the edges of shoes as well as covering the entire shoe.

Studs for fall 2012 are being shown in medium and small sizes, and mainly in silver. The studs are shown uniform as well as mixed together with different shapes and sizes; as well as with small spikes.

Designers such as Christian Louboutin, Alexander McQueen and Prada are showing several studded shoe styles for the fall 2012 season, and the edgy styles are being shown with quieter, un-studded apparel. When shoes are studded, garments are clean and stud-free. A few studs have shown up on leather jackets and sleeves for the fall 2012 season, but their main appearance is on high heels and flats.

Studded shoes for fall 2012 are an easy way to add edge to office attire or a classic little black dress. They are also a great way to spice up an outfit from last fall and bring into the current season. If there is one type of shoe to invest in this fall 2012 season, it must be studded.

Fall 2012 fashion trends: shades of green

Green was one of the most important colors for the spring/summer 2012 season and the vibrant hue is showing no sign of slowing down for the fall/winter 2012/2013 season. While the spring/summer season gave Fashionistas varying shades of medium green and mint green, the fall season is offering up more shades of medium green, traditional autumn dark green, forest green and some military green.

Green for fall 2012 is an easy hue to wear since it blends well with fall’s navy trend, dark blue trend and works well with both brown and black neutral hues. Green also plays well with ivory, winter white and eggshell shades which are also part of the neutral fall 2012 color palette.

There are many ways to wear and incorporate green into one’s fall 2012 wardrobe. Green accessories are an easy way to add the color to your wardrobe without going out and buying several outfits or separate’s. Green handbags and shoes are all the rage for fall 2012 as well as green hued gemstones on jewelry such as jade, tsavorite garnet, some opals, green sapphire, malachite, tourmaline, emerald, peridot and chrysoprase.

Fall 2012 fashion trends: get kitschy

The kitschy trend began in spring 2012 when designers such as Prada and Kate Spade showed the lighthearted and fun side of fashion. Prada created an entire collection based on inspiration from vintage cars while Kate Spade designed handbags which mimicked swimming pools and pineapples. For fall 2012, more serious designers such as Diane Von Furstenberg have joined in the kitschy trend and taken their designs to the fun side of the spectrum.

The fall 2012 runways gave us handbags shapes like dominoes, cars, fruit and every shape imaginable. In addition to obvious pictures and shapes, designers showed designs with unexpected embellishments and fun types of trim.

Although some designers, such as Dolce & Gabbana, designed serious and rich looking collection for the fall seasons, other designers had fun with their creations and created conversation pieces.

This fall, the easy way to integrate the kitschy trend into your wardrobe is with a handbag or jewelry item. Earrings such as Twisted Silver’s “Beach Earrings” are a great way to add some fun to an ensemble and show that although it is fall, summer will never end. Kitschy handbags such as Diane Von Furstenberg’s domino clutch are also a great way to add some lighthearted appeal to dressier attire and keep people talking.

We found a few kitschy items from the spring/summer collections from around the web and assembled them into the Polyvore set below. Hope you love it! Happy shopping, have tons of fun, and stay fabulous
