Shopper totes for fall 2012 are offering a fresh take on a classic handbag style for running daily errands, going to the office and shopping at the mall. Gone are the days of the solid colored basic tote or the logo embellished tote which reflects the price of the handbag rather than any sort of fashion-sense or personal style.

Practical yet fabulous shopper totes for fall 2012 are being shown in seasonal trends including color blocking, textures, mixed fabrications, rocker-chic studs, leopard print, in prints and with embellishments. The fall 2012 shopper tote is also being shown in a medium to large size; perfect for carrying home a few pairs of shoes, some jewelry, a new top and more after a day of shopping.

Shopper totes are also versatile. This classic handbag style can easily be worn to the office too. A shopper tote can carry an extra pair of shoes, an iPad or small laptop and a clutch for use during a lunch break or for going out on the town after work.

Polka Dots

Polka dots have been a classic springtime pattern for decades. The polka dot has enjoyed a little bit more popularity this year as the pattern has found itself carrying over from the mild spring season into the warm and hot summer months. But for fall, the polka dot has decided to stick around rather than move to the back of the closet until next spring; that’s right-polka dots are on-trend for fall.

Paige Denim, among others, designed polka dotted pieces for the fall season. The polka dot jeans from Paige Denim happen to be a favorite among celebrities such as Gwen Stefani. Polka dots are also popping up on less casual pieces such as dresses, silk trousers and sweaters. There are even polka dot accessories for fall!

If you think you are seeing spots; you are. Polka dots were not very prominent on the runways, but on store shelves they have their place, and on the streets they are close to being hot. (We will call them warm ) The polka dot is an emerging trend.

Glittering and sparkling shoes for fall 2012

Shoes have become full of sparkle and glitter over the past few years. The trend began when Fashionistas everywhere flocked to Christian Louboutin’s famous glitter pumps. Now, for fall 2012, almost every shoe designer on the planet has a version of the glitter pump and this sparkling shoe is at the top of its’ game.

There once was a time when every fashion-savvy lady owned a pair of basic black pumps, Manolo Blahnik Mary Jane’s and nude high heels. Although a trend, a long-standing one at that, the glitter pump has become a staple in the wardrobe of every Fashionista.

The glitter pump can be found in every high heel style imaginable for the fall 2012 season. Glitter pumps for fall are being spotted in platforms, flat-soled pumps, pointed toe pumps, sandals and more. In addition to glitter, the sparkling shoe trend has extended to embellishments such as crystal and shining fabrics.

While the glitter and sparkling shoe trend is not new, this trend is at the top of the bell curve. Sparkling shoes are being worn for almost every occasion imaginable, almost saturating the street. Shoe mavens are being seen wearing glitter pumps with everything from jeans to cut-offs to a formal gown.

It should be interesting to see if glittering, sparkling shoes remain at the forefront of shoe fashion for much longer. Although, since many women love anything that glitters, and everything that glitters is like gold, this trend may last longer than your average shoe trend. Only time will tell.
