It is no secret that floral prints, bright colors and emerald green are hot for spring/summer 2013. While an easy way  to wear florals is on a dress, and an easy way to wear bright colors is with neutrals, sometimes it is fun to pair the two together and create a bright, floral ensemble!

I love Naya Shoes. This short wedge sandal from the eco-chic company’s spring/summer 2013 collection is easy to wear with lightweight fabric dresses, jeans, skinnies and of course, summer shorts! Every shoe made by Naya Shoes is Eco Chic and made from eco-conconscious materials in an eco-consciouc fashion. Love that!

The “Helena,” pictured here in Taupe/Coffee, is a classic sandal with just enough of a wedge to add a little bit of height to my 5’4″ frame. They are also very comfortable

Wedges for spring and summer

Wedges are a staple for the spring and summer seasons. They add a little lift, making us all feel taller while maintaining a casual flair which fits perfectly with everyday style during the warm weather months. There are so many fabulous wedges on the market right now for spring and summer; which ones to choose!

This spring and summer season there are a few major trends to watch for when shopping for wedges. If you have brightly colored wedges from spring 2012; wear them! This is a great time to shop your closet for bright colors, neutrals, cork wedges, rope details and metallics. Since these trends were hot last year and are also hot this year, there is no need to shop for them; there is a good chance they are already in your closet!

One of the big trends this season is the studded trend. In addition to bright colors, neutrals, color blocking, cork, metallics and rope detailing, wedges for spring and summer 2013 feature studs, PVC, neon colors and pastel hues.

With all of these fabulous trends in wedges for spring/summer 2013, which ones to choose?! When shopping for fabulous wedges for the spring/summer 2013, think about which colors you wear most often and which trends you love the most. If you are looking for a neutral, look at metallic hues which may be more interesting than your average beige and tan.

We found a few fabulous pairs of wedges around the web for the spring/summer 2013 season andassembled them into this article. We hope you love them! Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

American Heart Association: National Walking Day

In our modern society, we drive to the bus stop, we drive to the train station, we drive to work, we drive to school-well, you get the picture  One hundred years ago, everyone walked everywhere. Nowadays, everyone drives, gets driven, or finds a passive way to travel from one place to another.

Humans were meant to walk. Our bodies need to walk; it helps us stay healthy and active. Walking also reduces the risk of heart disease and helps to maintain cardiovascular health. So, to remind ourselves and society how important it is to walk, ditch the vehicle and walk today!

The American Heart Association’s National Walking Day is a fabulous way to enjoy the beautiful spring weather, breath in some fresh air and get healthy. In honor of National Walking Day, everyone is encouraged to wear sneakers or walking shoes and leave the car keys at home. If you must drive, take a 30 minute walk today not only for yourself, but to help raise awareness about the importance of physical activity. Love this!

Tell your friends, family members, co-workers, neighbors-everyone! Spread the word! Today is the day to wear sneakers and go outside for a fabulous walk! Now step away from the computer and/or mobile device and go outside and take a walk!
