Chanel Rose Moire nail polish fall 2013 review

Chanel Rose Moire nail polish is a late fall 2013, limited edition color release from Chanel. This beautiful nail polish is a sweet, shiny ballerina pink which is perfect for transitioning from fall into winter. Chanel Rose Moire nail polish is also a fabulous color to be worn as an alternative to classic “nude.”

Chanel Rose Moire nail polish for fall 2013 is a pretty pink which blends well with autumnal hues such as burgundy, dark green, navy, black and neutral shades. The classic pink hue does not compete with fall 2013’s prints, patterns or textures. Rose Moire by Chanel is understated and blends into the background; making it the perfect color for someone who is enjoys wearing a different color palette and/or print each and every autumn day.

As we move into winter 2014, Chanel Rose Moire nail polish will blend easily with winter’s cooler color palette. Candy colors, pastels and holiday reds are on the horizon for the winter 2014 season; as well as sparkling and metallic hues. Rose Moire by Chanel’s pastel pink nature makes the hue easy to wear with all of winter 2014’s colors; in fact, Rose Moire will also work with resort 2014! Love that!

Resort 2014 will feature a combination of soft pastels and bright colors including cobalt, orange and yellow. Rose Moire by Chanel will easily blend with all of these shades. Since Chanel Rose Moire is a classic nail polish color, it will be easy to wear as we move from 2013 into 2014. This is also a beautiful nail polish color to keep on hand as a classic hue for occasions and times when you may not feel like being trendy.

I tested Chanel Rose Moire with one base coat and two coats of color. The nail polish lasted six days before chipping. When it began to chip, it chipped quickly and needed to be repainted. The polish may have lasted longer with a top coat.

Chanel Rose Moire nail polish is limited edition and priced at $27. You can find Chanel Rose Moire nail polish online here.

Essie “For The Twill Of It” fall 2013 nail polish review

Photo: Essie “For The Twill Of It” nail polish from Essie’s fall 2013 nail polish color collection. Shown with one base coat and two coats of color in direct sun.

Essie’s new fall 2013 nail polish collection offers so many on-trend and fabulous hues for the cool weather season. As a fan of their sparkling line of “LuxEffects” top coats, I decided to give one of Essie’s nail polish colors a try; after all, who can resist a hologram for fall 2013?!

I was happy with how easy Essie applied to my nails. The brush is perfect for making a clean brushstroke on your nail without too much mess spilling outside the nail-bed. “For The Twill Of It” applied quickly and easily without streaking. Love that!

Holograms are a huge trend for fall 2013. With designers such as Rebecca Minkoff creating holographic handbags and shoes for the cool weather season, it was only natural that a nail polish company would follow suit and create spectacular holographic hues. “For The Twill Of It” by Essie has the most amazing colors in it. Every time I turn my hand or view my nail from a different angle I see a thousand different colors. Essie has a winner in “For The Twill Of It!”

Shades of green, blue, red, charcoal, orange and purple appear on my nails every few seconds. “For The Twill Of It” by Essie is one of the most exciting nail polish colors I have tried in a long time; and I love to switch my nail colors every few days!

I used one base coat and two coats of Essie’s “For The Twill Of It” without using a top coat. I only received one small chip on my right pinky after seven days of wearing the nail polish. Chip resistant = love!

Essie’s “For The Twill Of It” is priced at a mere $8 and can be found online here. Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

Deborah Lippman Private Dancer nail polish review

Photo: Deborah Lippmann “Private Dancer” nail polish. One base coat, three coats of “Private Dancer” nail polish.

Deborah Lippmann nail polish always has such beautiful colors. Every season I admire the range of hues on Deborah Lippmann’s nail polish, yet I had never purchased a bottle. This time, I could not resist the beautiful golden purple hue of “Private Dancer” by Deborah Lippmann.

“Private Dancer” is a vibrant, medium purple nail polish color from Deborah Lippmann’s mirrored nail polish collection. The medium purple offers dimension with golden undertones which can be seen from varying angles. You can catch a glimpse of the golden undertones on my pinky in the photo above. The actual purple hue is slightly pinker than what can be seen in the photo. The result is a beautiful purple color which blends well with fall 2013’s range of red’s, pink’s, blue’s, green’s and neutral palette. Love that!

Deborah Lippmann’s nail polish is long lasting. With one base coat, three coats of “Private Dancer” and no top coat, Deborah Lippmann’s nail polish lasted a full week on my nails! Love it!

“Private Dancer” by Deborah Lippmann is priced at $19 and can be found online here. Happy shopping, and stay fabulous
