Hobo bags for 2021

The hobo bag is back! Yes, I am serious! I know, I know, for the past few years I have been telling you that hobo bags are coming back; but seriously, they are finally here! This is an important handbag trend for 2021, and well into the next few years.

Hobo bags slowly began to re-emerge as a handbag trend a few years ago when designers began to take inspiration from the 1990s. Everyone in the 1990s owned a black hobo bag; big or small. As the new millennium came in, hobos bags continued for a few more years, even presenting themselves as extremely oversized. Watch out for that on the runways in the next couple seasons. But I digress. . .

Last year, we started with the Coach Swinger, a classic from the 1990s, and the new Prada Cleo. These structured hobo bags offered a retro vibe, and took us back to the end of the grunge era when minimalism was king, and hobo bags rested upon our shoulders.

Fast forward to 2021, and designers are giving us classic and chic renditions of the hobo bag. These modern hobo bags could easily have been pulled from the archives of designers in the ’90’s. They are chic, simple, and timeless. Love!

If you still have your favorite hobo bag from 20-30 years ago, pull it out of the back of your closet and rock it! If not, it’s time to invest in a new bag! There are small hobos, micro hobos, medium hobos, and large hobos. Pick the size that works for your life. You can also be like me, and invest in more than one! Why not? This is a classic style you can wear even when it’s not on the runway.

As you know, I love the Coach Swinger and the Prada Cleo, but I do have my eyes on a slouchier style too. One can never own enough handbags I always say!

Summer beach bags 2021

Beach season is here! I love a fabulous straw beach tote this season since straw totes are hotter than hot; plus, when they get sand inside, they are easier to clean than a canvas tote. Love that!

Summer beach bags come in various sizes depending on what you need it for at the beach. A smaller tote can handle items such as a book, sunscreen, and baseball cap. Whereas a larger tote can fit a towel, lightweight sweatshirt for when the fog rolls in, a book, sunscreen, and snacks. The size you get depends on what you like to bring with you to the beach. I also like to look at my beach tote as something which can work at the pool too. So that is something to keep in mind if you are looking at the beach bag to work at the pool too.

I tend to carry two beach bags because I have kids who like to bring extra items to the beach. I normally will have one large beach bag filled with multiple towels and sweatshirts, and also a smaller beach tote with a book, snacks, and sunscreen. Yes, I am one of those bag ladies at the beach. haha

There are so many fabulous IT bags under $500 this summer 2021 season! It is so nice to know we don’t have to break the bank in order to afford a beautiful IT bag which will definitely turn heads this summer season. Love that!

This beautiful straw tote bag is priced just under $500, and it’s an IT bag which is hot this summer season, and has been hot for several years now; it may already qualify for classic IT bag status! It really is a great investment bag!

Also, as you already know, pouches are hotter than hot right now, and these two are priced nicely at under $500. I own the yellow one and love wearing it often. It fits everything I need it to fit while being comfortable to wear; plus it’s super soft. Love that!

Do you see that cute little tan hobo in the collage above? I am in love! This bag is on my wish list. I am in love with it’s east/west, slouchy silhouette, and it’s ’90’s era strap. Plus, the color is on point for the summer season, and early fall. Love!
