Puff sleeves and cropped wide leg jeans for fall 2019

puff sleeve trend paris texas boots chloe baghow to wear cropped jeans

wearing: sunglasses / blue and silver door knocker earrings / lipstick / black puff sleeve top (last seen here and here) / snake belt / cropped wide leg jeans / Chloe bag / pearl bracelets (purchased in Hawaii, similar here) / holiday nail polish / black stamped croc boots /

“These boots were made for walking. . .” well. . .not really. They are comfortable, for high heel boots; but they are not walking shoes, like sneakers. haha That being said, isn’t it fun to quote Nancy Sinatra lyrics now and then? I think so!

I can’t seem to get enough of this black puff sleeve top for fall. It’s turned into my workhorse top of the season. I have been pairing it with different styles of jeans, various booties, and also skirts! It’s black, so it goes with everything. It’s also comfortable, easy to wash and wear, and the puff sleeves are super trendy and fun. Love!

These cropped, wide leg jeans do extend me horizontally on camera, but I tell ya, in person-they do not! It’s so weird how some articles of clothing add weight when photographed, while others do not. I think the high waist, and cropped leg, are what make them add weight in pictures. In person, these jeans don’t do that! So, maybe I just need to stop photographing them, haha! They are super comfortable and really do look nice in person, if you are in the market for cropped, wide leg jeans! I really do recommend this pair; unless you want to snap pictures in them everyday, then maybe forgo the wide leg, cropped look for now. . .just sayin’

Sweater weather and fabulous boots

winter street style fall street style winter outfit ideaschloe bag paris texas bootssilicon valley style

wearing: red and gold earrings / sunglasses / lipstick / sweater / long sleeve tee / bootcut jeans / Chloe bag / stamped croc boots /

Hello sweater weather! It’s finally cooled off here in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it feels so good! I love getting cozy in a soft sweater, and wearing a fabulous pair of boots.

These boots are soooo amazing! Of course, as I write this, I realize you can’t really see them. They are hidden by my bootcut jeans. What you can see is the stamped croc pattern which is golden on black leather. It’s about as fabulous as stamped croc can get; at least in my closet! What you cannot see is the top of the booties which offer a western style, cowgirl boot top. They are wide, curved and amazing. You can see them online here. Next time I will make sure I wear them with a skirt, and take a close-up photo of the boots to show you!

This is a great, late fall look for cool, casual days. If the morning fog burns off, and temperatures rise, the sweater can easily come off. It’s all about layers this time of year! It can be fifty degrees one day, then eighty degrees the next. The weather is always confusing itself during the fall season!

Area 51 Halloween costume idea

On me: Area 51 Guard costume: hoop earrings / sunglasses / lipstick / camo tee / camo pants / Buzz Lightyear toy gun (old, this one is perfect) (great for shooting at escaping aliens!) / black boots (old, this pair would be great) /

On my husband: Area 51 Raider: tin foil hat-feel free to make your own, I am sure it will turn out better than his! haha / sign-cardboard and sharpie! Easy peasy

On my son: Alien rescued from Area 51: Green Alien bodysuit costume /

“They can’t stop all of us!” That was the battle cry of the Area 51 raid in September. While the raid didn’t really happen the way the joke meant it to, it did happen just a teeny, tiny, little bit. This makes it a fun family Halloween costume!

As you can see, my two teenage girls were too cool to participate in the family costume this year. Thankfully my son still think his parents are cool, and he suggested we dress as the Area 51 Raid for Halloween. I am so glad he did, this is really fun! He even taught my husband how to Naruto Run. Did I spell that right??? He did a pretty good job, haha 😉

So to make this costume happen, all you need is an Area 51 Guard, an alien, and an Area 51 Raider. My husband is the raider, and he didn’t want to carry the sign around when we take our son trick-or-treating, so he tied a string on the sign so he can be hands-free on Halloween. To be authentic, you can forego the string, and carry the sign.

He also attempted to make a tin foil hat. This one flies off his head. I recommend using bobby pins to tack it to your head. The tin foil hat is key for the Area 51 Raider costume. You must protect your brain from the government, who is trying to read your thoughts. haha

The Area 51 Guard costume is easy. All you need is camo and voila! You are an Area 51 Guard. I borrowed my son’s Buzz Lightyear gun to complete the look. This Buzz Lightyear toy gun is old, but there is a new one on the market which would be perfect. You can find it online here.
