Fall 2020 wish lists

Fall 2020 handbag wish list from top left: Small shoulder bag / semi-circle shoulder bag / grey soft satchel / black puffy woven bag /

Can you believe fall is in roughly one month?! I cannot wait! It has been over 90 degrees here in the San Francisco Bay Area along with massive wildfires. Our air has been humid, smoky, and very hot. The cooler fall season cannot come soon enough!

This fall season I plan to keep my clothing simple and classic. To compliment this timeless vibe, I am wishing for a few fabulous handbags to spice up my looks. These four handbags would do just that; while reflecting current trends. Love!

I love my puff clutch, and this mini version with a strap; it’s a great alternative to the clutch. It fits right into the puffy clutch trend, yet offers a convenient strap. Love a strap!

How cool is this semi-circle handbag?! It is handmade in Italy, and so unique. I love the classic hue and eye catching design. This is a bag collectors must-have. I plan to place my order soon!

You know I love Antigona! I have my eye on this pretty grey soft version which just came out this season. I cannot decide between the medium and small sizes, so I am waiting until a size speaks to me. Which do you prefer?

Lastly, this puffy, woven shoulder bag is a current IT bag on the streets. I love it and feel like I need it in my life. It comes in several colors, but classic black speaks to me. What do you think?

Fall 2020 shoes wish list from top left: grey stamped croc loafers / classic black loafers / black tie up combat boots / square toe stamp croc pumps /

I have a good stock of booties from last fall, and the fall before. This fall season I feel like I need to up my classic loafer game, add a pair of trendy combat boots, and refresh my black pumps. After all, the square toe is back with a vengeance! It’s a must-have in everyone’s shoe wardrobe.

In addition to the square toe, stamped croc is hotter than hot this season. This pair of classic, stamped croc loafers is something I know I need in my life this fall. These pretty loafers come in too many colors to count. I am leaning towards the grey stamped croc. Which color is your favorite?

The black loafers pictured above are a closet staple, and they are timeless! I hope to add them to my closet this fall season. They are definitely an investment purchase I know I will enjoy for many years.

These combat boots remind me of high school when the lug sole was king. They have a fun ’90’s vibe, and they also look like they will be easy to walk in; and this season I need walkable shoes. What do you think of the combat boot trend? Are you jumping on the trend?

Fall 2020 home wish list from top left: foot rest-so perfect for underneath a desk! / hot/cool air purifier-must-have with all these wildfires in California! / area rug-this one is machine washable-love that! / chic umbrella-OK not really a home item but this one is super cool /

Well, three of the four items on my home wish list are actually home items. I included this umbrella because it’s fabulous and I feel like I need it in my life. Check out how the interior contrasts the exterior! Love that!

Also, I have three kids and hardwood floors. We have wanted to add a few rugs to our home for quite some time, and this one is neutral and washable. Yes, you read that right! You can throw this rug in the washing machine. I am not sure it would fit inside mine, but I will try! haha

With all these wildfires, I am more conscious of air pollution inside the home. My mom owns this hot/cool air purifier and she swears by it, so I feel like I need one too. When the fires are going, we can smell them inside the house, even with the windows shut. So, this seems like something we could use to help decrease the pollution inside our home from the smoke.

Lastly, I find myself constantly looking for a place to prop up my feet while I work. This foot rest is practical, and looks like it will offer me the comfort I need while I work from home.

What are you wishing for this fall season? Are you thinking about fall yet?

Thanks for stopping by!

Pureology hair care review

pureology professional hair care review

Pureology Professional hair care products from left: all products c/o Pureology: Hydrate Shampoo / Hydrate Conditioner / Refresh & Go Dry Shampoo / Texture Finishing Spray / Hydrate Soft /

OK, raise your hand if your hair is crazy-dry this year! My hand is waaaaaay up! If you are like me this year, you are spending the majority of your time outside. Since pretty much everything indoors is closed, with the exception of supermarkets and some stores, we have all been outside in the sun, at the pool, and at the beach. This has wreaked havoc on my hair; not to mention I have not been able to get my hair trimmed since March due to all of our salons being shut down. My hair is so dry, and in need of a haircut. Thankfully the Pureology products are saving me!

I was thrilled when Pureology sent me a PR package filled with their hair care products. I quickly found the purple bottle, the Hydrate collection, was the ideal line for my dry hair. I have been outside a lot, plus swimming in the pool more than usual. This has caused my untrimmed ends to become very dry, and close to getting brittle. I am loving the Pureology Hydrate collection because it has restored hydration to my ends, and my hair in general. While it cannot trim my hair for me, it does keep it healthy. Which is what we all need right now anyway!

I love that Pureology was created right here in California. Yay local!! In addition to being local, Pureology offers sulfate-free and vegan products which are professional quality. Salons always have the best products, and even though we cannot go to them right now, it is nice to be able to get that professional, salon quality hair care right at home. Love this!

Pureology is not only sulfate-free, and vegan, their products are made without parabens and mineral oil. This helps keep their products safer for the environment and for us, the users. Love! Plus, yes there is more, the packaging is made from 95% post consumer recycled plastic and is 100% recyclable. Love that!

OK, let me swing back around to how it hydrates my hair. Once a week I love to use the Pureology Hydrate Soft treatment. I am using this treatment after I shampoo and conditioner my hair. It really makes my hair healthy and hydrated by using key ingredients such as shea butter and sweet almond oil. It smells so good! I am addicted to this product!

On days when I don’t wash my hair, I can easily refresh it with the Pureology Refresh & Go dry shampoo. This dry shampoo works really well and doesn’t leave any white residue. It’s really awesome!

If you are not looking for hydration like me, Pureology also has a fabulous collection of strengthening and volume hair care products. I will include them in the shopping widget below. You can click on each one for more information.

rewardStyle conference 2020 recap

what to wear to zoom meetings rewardStyle conference recap rsthecon 2020

#rsTheCon 2020 outfit: fall earrings / fall lipstick / fall striped tee / fall nail polish / mug / black linen joggers / fuzzy black slide slippers /

I finally got to go to the rewardStyle conference again! Yay! Last time I attended this conference, also known by it’s hashtag, #rsTheCon, was back in 2017. You can see my recap from 2017 here. This conference normally takes place in April every year, and it is located in Dallas. Spring is my busiest season with my kids, so it isn’t something I can normally go to. I was really excited this year when I received an invitation for the conference because it was digital and in August. Well, that’s one good thing that came out of this pandemic!

Instead of a two day conference filled with parties, networking, speeches, and classroom sessions, #rsTheCon was condensed into a full day conference with speeches, class sessions, and a really fun announcement. Love announcements!

Although no-one could actually see me during the conference since it was on Zoom, I decided to dress up a little bit anyway. After all, it seemed a little odd to wear sweats to a fashion conference. haha So, I grabbed my new tee from my upcoming fall capsule wardrobe and paired it with my go-to linen joggers which I have been wearing since spring; and plan to continue to include in my capsule this fall. It was a comfortable and weather-appropriate look for the day. Since I was at a fashion conference, I grabbed my new fall lipstick and put that on too, along with new fall earrings. Might as well go all the way! Well almost, I paired this warm weather fall look with slippers. Might as well, I attended the conference from inside my home. haha

These slippers have been perfect for warm weather days when I want comfy footwear inside the house. They are slides, so they are cool during the warm weather, yet fuzzy enough for “slipper comfort.” They are perfect for summer and fall; after all, the fall season will still be warm here in the Bay Area. Our weather doesn’t cool off until mid-November.

OK, enough about my outfit, let’s get back to the conference! The first few hours were speeches about the current state, and trends, of the industry. Then, we broke into classroom sessions where we talked about videos, strategies, and updates to the LikeToKnow. It app and more. Oh, and let’s have a drumroll for that big announcement!

Drumroll please. . .

The LikeToKnow.it app now offers videos! Yay! This will make the app really fun for users since you will now be able to find how-to videos, demonstrations of products, and more. The videos will be two minutes or less, so they won’t be time consuming for you. I plan to work on making a few videos soon. I am not a big video person, so there will be a learning curve for me on this one. I hope you enjoy the new feature. I think it’s really exciting!

It was exciting to attend the rewardStyle conference again. It’s always nice to learn new tips and tricks, as well as get updated on industry news and trends.

Have you attended any virtual conferences during this lockdown? How was it?

Thanks for stopping by!
