Day three of New York Fashion Week was the hottest, and most humid fashion week day I have ever experienced. Words cannot even describe the heat, and the icky humidity! Thankfully this dress was cool and breezy; perfect for a yucky humid day!

I started the day off in my suede booties, but the sky became a bit foreboding with the threat of thunder showers, so in order to save my suede booties, I switched to this pair of pewter leather booties which can sustain some rain. I heard it rained, but I must have been indoors when it did, because I never got caught in it! Whew!

Day three was really fun. I kicked off the day at Dan Liu, which was a romantic collection reminiscent of Paris in the 1960’s. I loved all the vintage inspired, feminine dresses. Next, I was off to Vicky Zhang which was filled with Mother-Daughter apparel. So cute! Then it was time for Rebecca Minkoff. You can read all about it in my blog post here.

After Rebecca Minkoff, it was time for Son Jung Wan’s disco inspired runway show. So much fun! The music was disco, and the people sitting behind me got out of their seats to dance to the music. It was amazing! Then I had a little break to eat some lunch, and edit a few photos before seeing A Detacher’s spring 2017 show, followed by Sally Skoufus’ fine jewelry presentation. It was a full day, and I loved everything I saw. So many great styles coming up for spring 2017!

By day three, the spring 2017 trends were starting to come into focus. There was more blush, denim, jumpers, green, pink, metallics, moto jackets, 1960s influence, 1990s influence, and decadent embellishments. Stay tuned! I will be recapping all the trends from the spring 2017 runways in a separate post. Spring 2017 is going to be fabulous!

Thanks for stopping by,

XOXO
