I absolutely adore pastels in the spring season. There is something about pastels which tells the world the cold weather is over and sunny days are here. One of my favorite all-time pastel hues is mint green. I love pairing mint green with white since white is such a crisp and clean color. I feel like it is the perfect neutral hue to brighten up mint green and make it pop.

This could be why I love the Ippolita Wonderland set I am wearing with this outfit. The mint green and white quartz set in sterling silver offers a crisp feel in warm weather. Love that! To tie everything together, I love this watch from my new favorite online boutique TrendCY. The white strap helps make the mint green glow and the loose fit will be perfect for the warm weather in spring, and the hot temperatures of the summer months. I also love the watch in white since it will match everything I wear in spring and summer!

Do you have a favorite pastel hue this season? What is your favorite neutral hue to set it off?

I have always been one of those people who only wears one watch. The watch I have been wearing since 2005 is stainless steel and understated. Every season I see new watches on the runways and on store shelves. I always think “What a cool trend, maybe I will buy one,” but it never seems to happen. In 2013, I have been craving a new watch. The colorful watches popping up on the runways and on the streets have really caught my attention. I was thrilled when Lolly Watches contacted me about their new line of colorful, eco-chic watches. Not only are Lolly Watches bright and cheery, they are on-trend and have a special surprise which sets them apart from other colorful watches in the marketplace.

Do you remember scratch and sniff stickers when you were a kid? My favorite scratch and sniff stickers were the ones which smelled like fruit; specifically grape! I have always loved the smell of grape. Erasers, stickers, you name it; anything which came in a scent had to be grape! Do you want to know what makes Lolly Watches so much cooler than other colorful watches on the market? They come with scents! How fun is that?!

In addition to beautiful colors and fun scents, Lolly Watches are eco-chic! That’s right! Made from eco-resin, a naturally sustainable polymer, Lolly Watches are environmentally friendly and help reduce the use of plastic! Love that! Lolly Watches are also a “Plant-A-Tree” partner. The company is dedicated to planting a tree for every watch they sell. How fabulous is that!

Of course I chose the grape scented purple Lolly Watch to share with you. Not only is purple one of my favorite colors, I still love the smell of grape; even though I am pushing the big 4-0! This purple Lolly Watch is the perfect, colorful addition to my wardrobe. Purple happens to be a hot color for fall 2013, and it is being shown well into 2014, so I am thrilled I can wear my Lolly Watch for seasons to come.

Christina Ricci wears first-ever Timex Watch dress at MTV Movie Awards

Christina Ricci was spotted on the red carpet last night at the MTV Movie Awards wearing a first-ever dress made with Timex Watches and designed by Christian Siriano. Styled by Brad Goreski, Christina Ricci dazzled in the avant-garde dress and captured the attention of Fashionistas everywhere.

Christian Siriano: “As a designer, I’m always looking for new materials that I can use in unexpected ways. Using Timex watches in my design has been invigorating. I am thrilled to have partnered with such an iconic brand-I never thought I would be designing a dress for Christina Ricci made of working Timex watches-it’s genuinely a red carpet ‘moment in time.’”

It took around 1,500 watches to create the dress which fit Christina Ricci’s elegant, yet edgy personal style. Brad Goreski chose the silhouette for the dress due to his vast knowledge of Christina Ricci’s personal style. “When I was first told about this collaboration, my mind immediately went to the jewel encrusted bustier dresses by Gianni Versace and Christian Lacroix in the 1990’s, an era which is having a big resurgence in fashion. We found the perfect dress shape in Christian Siriano’s fall winter 2012 collection, created it to fit Christina’s body perfectly and began playing with the watches and watch pieces to create this elaborate beading pattern. The finished product is 100 percent glamour!”

Everyone involved was pleased with the outcome and Christina Ricci looked amazing at the MTV Movie Awards in her Timex watch dress. Adam Gurian, President of Timex had this to say about the collaboration: “We’re accustomed to men and women wearing the watches on their wrist as a must-have fashion statement. We feel honored to have such a creative collaboration using our watches in such a visionary way-Christian Siriano’s Timex Watch Dress is truly an ingenious work of art that is a timeless icon.”
