I found a pair of wide leg pants! Yay! Can I just tell you hard this was to do? When you are on the short side like me, the majority of wide leg pants look huge. Seriously, it was like I was swimming in fabric. I thought I would need to find a pair of petite pants to satisfy my wide leg pant craving, but alas, I couldn’t find wide leg pants in petite which looked wide. Why do brands always pair down styles for petite sizes? Just because we are short, does not mean we want to wear boring clothing which doesn’t give the full look. Ugh, it can be so annoying!

Well, these pants are regular size, not petite. I was surprised they fit me! I do roll the waist for flat shoes, but if I have high wedges, I don’t need to roll the waist, they fit! Love that! So, if you are taller than 5’4″ you can still wear these pants with flatter shoes.

One of the problems with being short, or petite, is that wide leg and loose clothing can look like a sea of fabric on your body. These pants are wide leg without being too much. I cannot believe it! Yay!

In addition to actually fitting me, the fabric is cool enough for a hot summer day, and they won’t break the bank. These pants are currently under $50. Love that! I plan on getting another pair in another color, I am just being indecisive right now. haha

Summer got here fast! Temperatures are soaring, and it didn’t really feel like we had a spring. Where is the fog? I went from jeans and sweatshirts to summer dresses, there was no in-between! But I digress. . .check out this dress with pockets!

Yes, you read that right, dress with pockets! In case you missed my post earlier this week, this summer dress has pockets. I don’t know why I love having pockets in a dress so much. I carry a handbag which contains everything I need, but sometimes pockets are nice for an emergency Kleenex or just as a place for resting one’s hands. I don’t know, men have pockets in everything, so I want pockets too! haha

It’s espadrille season! While finding espadrilles with foot support is harder than getting a job as a QB in the NFL, there are solutions. These wedge espadrilles offer a bit of heel support due to their wedge nature. While not ideal for walking around town, they are fine for small amounts of walking. I was able to survive without foot pain for roughly thirty minutes the other day, so I will call that an espadrille win!

The summer 2024 season continues our quest for investment worthy pieces to add to our wardrobes. Keep investing in timeless, high-quality items which can last for years. I hope ultra-trendy dressing does not return. I love the chic, timeless look of investment dressing. Don’t you?

Summer dress with pockets

Well, last week was about as busy as it gets! My daughter graduated from high school, and I was on the Grad Night committee, so between her activities and my volunteer work, there were a few nights without sleep! That being said, it was worth the time to be there for my daughter; especially since she goes off to the college in the fall! This means I will have two children away at school. Yikes!

I wore this dress to her class awards ceremony. It was amazing to see all of the accomplishments she and her classmates had over the course of high school. I am such a proud mama!

This dress was perfect because it was 90 degrees outside that day, and it kept me cool. While I was wearing it, I discovered the dress has pockets! Yes! Pockets in a dress. Love that!

Although I did not make use of the pockets, it was nice to know they were there. I feel like so many women’s clothes are deprived of pockets. My husband and my son have ample pockets in their clothing, why can’t we have that too? I might need to snap this dress up in another color. I love how comfortable it is, plus it has pockets! Love!
