I am back on my espadrille kick! Espadrilles are my favorite summer shoe because they are soft, and the fabric allows your feet to breath. Also, with planter fasciitis, you can wear espadrilles if they have a wedge and you also wear a support band on your foot. Test this out at home before leaving the house to ensure it works for your particular planter fasciitis case. Also, bring a backup pair of sneakers with your orthotics inside just in case the espadrilles and band aren’t cutting it. I leave my sneakers in the trunk of my car in case I need to switch them out. So far, I haven’t’ had to do that! Yay!

Green, in any shade, is huge right now, so I picked up these mint green dunks when Nike offered design-your-own dunks. It will be fun to wear mint green sneakers this summer. It is such a pretty color!

My summer will be fairly casual, so I am not including my high heels in this post. Of course, I do keep a classic black pair in my closet just in case!

We finally have summer weather! Love that! For the summer 2023 season, I am looking forward to keeping things casual and simple. I updated my shorts wardrobe to include two pairs of denim shorts in different washes and also a fun pair of lightweight pants to wear on foggy days, or when the weather is slightly cooler.

My tees and tops are casual this summer too. I have gravitated towards shades of blue and green for the summer months. Since investment dressing is hot right now, my personal style is in a happy place. I have always been a huge advocate for investment dressing and spicing up a seasonal wardrobe with one or two trendy pieces. This summer, I am forgoing the trendy pieces and sticking to basics.

In addition to shorts and lightweight pants, I have dresses from last summer which will work perfectly again this summer. My dresses are all extremely affordable and priced under $50. When you hear the term “investment dressing” you might think this means purchasing expensive items, it does not. Investment dressing is about sticking to pieces which transcend trends, fit well, and offer good quality. You can find this in affordable clothing! Love that! Happy June! Although not officially summer, the summer season has kicked off, and we are heading into warm weather, vacations, and fun! Yay! This season is all about casual looks, comfortable footwear, fun nail polish hues, and the anonymous handbag. Love that!
