Things are starting to reopen! My daughter had her 8th grade graduation over live-stream at the end of last week. Since we were not able to take her out to a restaurant with family and celebrate, we picked up take-out food to enjoy at home. This was the first time we picked up take-out since the lockdown. It’s so nice to start to see things reopen here!

Despite things starting to reopen, it is definitely weird out there! We picked up macarons at Cocola, which is located on Santana Row. Most of the shops were boarded up, with restaurants open for take-out only. There was a handful of people taking a walk down Santana Row, with about 90% of people wearing masks. I wish everyone would wear a mask so we can get through this easier! But I digress. . .

It was so nice to actually go to Cocola. We waited in line outside, six feet apart from other people. They allowed one person inside at a time. It was clean, quick, and easy to pick up their delicious macarons for my daughter. She was so excited and happy to enjoy her favorite treat from Cocola as we celebrated her graduation.

Later in the day, we picked up sushi from Sushi Heaven in Saratoga for her celebratory dinner. They had a huge table blocking the restaurant off from the public. It was really well organized. They handed me my order and I paid, all while staying feet apart and wearing masks. This was the first time I didn’t cook dinner since early March! It was so surreal.

It is really nice to see things starting to reopen around here. I think we are one of the most locked down areas in the country. I see my friends in other states dining out, and going about their business as if nothing happened. I cannot wait until we get there. Until then, we are enjoying the tiny little things that reopen slowly.

Summer 2020 skin care routine

summer 2020 skin care routine

Summer 2020 skin care routine from left: Elizabeth Arden Superstart Probiotic Cleanser c/o Elizabeth Arden / Prai throat serum / Elemis Marine Cream / Prai 24K Gold Night Cream c/o PRAI / Prai Ageless neck cream / Elemis Superfood Tea Mist / Elemis Resurfacing Face Wash / Prai 24K Gold Eye Cream c/o PRAI / Compact Mirror c/o PRAI /

The weather is heating up, and I am spending a lot of time outside this season. This means it is time to mix up my skin care routine, and use products which will help combat the elements.

As you know, I am a huge fan of Elemis Marine Cream. This is the ideal day cream for summer. It adds the right amount of moisture, and really keeps my skin healthy during the months when I am in the pool, at the beach, and outside in general. At night, I am loving this night cream by PRAI which is great for repairing skin while I sleep. I also have fallen in love with the matching 24K eye cream. It really is fabulous!

For keeping my skin squeaky clean, I am using this Elizabeth Arden cleanser in the morning, and this Elemis resurfacing facial wash at night. It’s the perfect mix for each routine.

After a day in the sun, or outside in the wind, this Elemis Superfood Kefir-Tea Mist is idea for cooling down my skin and adding back the moisture it lost from the elements. It feels so good! Definitely a must-have in any summer skin care routine!

Summer 2020 handbag capsule wardrobe

handbag capsule wardrobe summer 2020

Summer 2020 handbag capsule wardrobe from left: yellow tote bag / straw tote bag (you can customize the message on the tote for under $250!) / black and red bucket bag / metallic Chloe mini bag / soft and large clutch / red baguette /

A bag for every occasion! My summer 2020 handbag capsule wardrobe touches on the practical handbag trends of the season; not the huge over-sized bag trend. I will be skipping that one.

Summer 2020 has a lot of handbag trends. This hot weather season we are looking at huge, over-sized bags, bright colors, ’90’s baguette’s, mini bags, hobo bags, straw or natural fiber bags, large and soft “pouch” clutches, and the return of the bucket bag. This summer 2020 handbag capsule wardrobe reflects the best of these trends.

Did you invest in a Mansur Gavriel drawstring bucket bag six years ago? If not, this is the time to grab one! It went from being an affordable IT bag, to a classic, must-have IT bag. It is part of the classic handbag capsule wardrobe along with the LV Neverful, and the 2.55 Chanel shoulder bag. The black with red “flamma” interior is the ultimate classic from the collection, but any color that moves you will do. I plan on using my Mansur Gavriel bucket bag as my everyday bag this summer. It feels good to bring it back into the rotation. It’s a strong and sturdy bag; which happens to have IT status as well as hitting the bucket bag trend this summer. Love that!

This straw tote bag is a summer staple. I bought it last year, and it’s proving to be a summer must-have. While the message on it was perfect last summer, I won’t be jet setting anywhere this summer due to the pandemic. It will still be fun to tote it around though! You can put any message on there you want on the bag, in any color you choose! You can check it out online here.

I am loving this little yellow tote, and this red baguette, for everyday wear this summer. They both reflect the pop of color trend; and the baguette reflects the ’90’s baguette trend. They are both practical and fun. Love!

Of course the puffy, soft and slouchy clutch is not a hands-free bag, but it is perfect for looking on trend and fitting a ton of things! It’s bigger than it looks! This adds a little bit of practicality to it. Wouldn’t you agree? I love it for dining out at an outdoor restaurant this summer. I have already worn it quite a bit this spring, so I am sure I will wear it lot this summer too!

Of course my little Chloe is my summer evening bag. While mini bags and metallic bags are hot for daytime too, I have found it works best for me at night. It is great for dinner and going out in the evenings. Love!
