Spring 2015 is bringing us a nod to the 1970’s. There was 1970’s inspiration all over the runways for spring 2015 in New York, Milan, Paris and London. After seeing this trend on the runways explode on the street for spring 2015, I decided to shop my closet for a little 1970’s inspiration.

Gap’s Long & Lean jeans have been a longtime favorite of mine; and with the skinny jean trend, mine have sat in my closet begging to be worn for the past few years. I was thrilled to take them out and look at the 1970’s silhouette these jeans offer. They also happen to be a LOT more comfortable than skinny jeans! Love that!

Military green and military jacket styles are also a continuing trend from 2014 which is proving to be important for 2015. So, I was happy to find my military green, military inspired style jacket from last year fits perfectly into this continuing trend. I’m looking forward to wearing this 1970’s inspired outfit now and into spring 2015.

What do you think of the 1970’s silhouette and trends including boho-chic, military and flare jeans, coming into style for spring 2015?

Gladiator sandals for spring 2015

They’re baaaa-aaaaack! Did you miss them?

Gladiator sandals are making a comeback for the spring 2015 season and they are being shown in all sizes. Tall gladiators, flat gladiators, high heel gladiators; they are all important for the spring 2015 season. Are you ready for this trend?

Gladiator sandals can be worn any which way this spring 2015 season. The flat styles can be worn with casual attire while high heels versions are appropriate for dressier occasions. You can go for an avant-garde look with tall gladiator sandals or keep it low key in ankle high styles. Whichever style suits you personal style, there is a gladiator sandal for you this spring 2015 season.

When gladiator sandals came into style several years ago, the tall version was the most sought-after. Last year, when gladiators started to return to the fashion scene, only the low styles were appropriate. Now, for the spring 2015 season, you can wear any type of gladiator sandal style you wish! Love that!

If you wore this trend before, you might be able to shop your closet for gladiator sandals this spring. If not, look for neutral colors and any style that catches your eye. I found a few fabulous pairs of gladiator sandals for spring 2015 around the web and assembled them into the shopping widget below. I hope you love them! I have my eyes on the black flat-form pair and the nude high heel pair shown above. Which styles do you like?

Happy shopping, and stay fabulous 😉

Squiggle pumps and fringe

Squiggle squiggle! From the moment I laid my eyes on these Christian Louboutin squiggle pumps, I knew I needed them in my life. They are basic black, peep-toe pumps with a twist! Or should I say “squiggle.” 😉 I was excited to have a recent girl’s night out with my friends where I could wear these shoes and wiggle the evening away!

To complete the look, because sometimes I dress from the shoes up, I decided to wear my new BCBG fringe skirt. I purchased this skirt to wear in New York next month for fashion week, but decided it needed to be worn ahead of time in honor of the Christian Louboutin Squiggle pumps and grabbing sushi with my friends. What other occasion do I have to wear a fringe skirt? As a Mother of three, I don’t go out at night too often, so when I have the chance, I dress up!

I’m excited to wear this skirt again in New York next month and I am eagerly looking for another occasion to wear these squiggle pumps. Unfortunately they will not go to New York with me. I need shoes with traction in order to survive the snow and ice on the ground back east!

This will be my go-to look for spring when I head out to dinner with my hubby and/or go out at night! What is your current go-to, night on the town outfit?
