Metallic touches are being found everywhere for the spring 2012 season. Shimmering fabrics are being found on dresses, skirts, pants, denim and tops; showing the world that sparkle is for more than just evening occasions. Metallics have been an important trend over the past few seasons, but for spring 2012 they have taken store shelves, and streets, by storm. 

Metallic fabrics, sequins, crystal encrusted jewelry, glitter pumps, metallic touches on shoes, metallic leathers and more are being spotted everywhere. They key to wearing this trend is to pick one apparel piece either made from metallic fabric or adorned with a shimmering embellishment or embroidery which shines. Metallic touches for spring are exactly that; touches. Leave the head to toe metallics for formal affairs and clubs 
One of the great things about the metallic trend is that is has already been spotted on the fall runways. The most prominent metallic touch on the fall runway was gold embroidery; especially yellow gold paired with black. This is definitely one trend to watch and invest in for 2012. Laura Mercier was sweet enough to send me a sample of the new Oil Free Supreme Foundation so that our readers and I could see for ourselves how fabulous this foundation really can be. I tested the foundation and loved it! As someone with combination skin which is exposed to the outdoors on a daily basis, I found the foundation long-lasting with ample coverage. In addition to fabulous coverage, my face stayed matte-no afternoon shine! Love it!

Chunky necklaces spring into fall

One of the hottest spring 2012 trends from the runway is the chunky necklace. This fabulous jewelry trend was also spotted on the fall 2012 runways last month, showing the fashion world that the chunky necklace trend is showing no sign of slowing down when the seasons change later this year.
Chunky necklaces for spring 2012 are being shown in bright colors as well as traditional metals. There are chunky necklaces in every category from resin beads to tumbled semi-precious stones to highly polished gemstones.  When it comes to stones and metal; anything goes for the spring 2012 season. 
The fall 2012 runways boasted the same materials from spring when it came to chunky necklaces. The overall color palette was slightly darker as designers opted for blue, orange, brown and especially black when it came to bold jewelry. 
Chunky necklaces are a great way to add color to any ensemble as well as the perfect way to spice up a tank top or tee-shirt on a hot summer’s day. Love that!
