Every season I have a favorite black top, and pair of jeans; this is my fall go-to look for cooler days! This top is made with a thicker fabric than your average tee, so it is perfect on cool days when I need a little more than a tee. Plus, it has faux leather details on the sleeves, making it on trend. Love that!

I just picked up these jeans, and find myself wearing them often. They are really soft and comfortable; plus, I love how they fit. You might just see me in these jeans often during the fall and winter seasons!

This is the casual fall outfit I wore out to lunch with my friend Dawn from Fashion Should Be Fun a couple weeks ago. She had a day off from work, and since my schedule is super flexible, we were able to meet up for lunch! Love that!

We window shopped around Santana Row and enjoyed a yummy and healthy lunch at Veggie Grill. I ate my favorite meal from their menu, the Santa Fe Chicken. So good!

Did you see my review for the new Mansur Gavriel Candy Bag? If not, be sure to check it out. This bag is really comfortable to wear, and it fits everything I need on daily basis. I love how this neutral hue pops against the black top and dark wash jeans. It’s a classic, casual look which I find chic.

It’s funny, I felt like I had stepped back into the 1990s in this outfit. The lug sole paired with a black top and jeans outfit is very ’90’s! It’s fun to have a season with such a strong influence from my favorite decade. Love that!

Twirling back into life

dressy fall outfits

wearing: sunglasses / large gold hoops / black cut out top / G buckle belt / bracelets (local designer!) / green pleated skirt / fall nail polish / pouch clutch / chain boots /

Twirling back into life, and it feels so good! I wore this outfit a couple weeks ago to the preview party for Beyond Van Gogh. It was absolutely amazing dressing up, and going out to an event with my husband; without the kids. We haven’t had this opportunity since before the shut down. We felt so free!

If you are from another state besides California, you might be wondering why we are just getting out now. Here in California, we have had a lot of events and businesses shut down during the pandemic. It is just in the last few months that things have really begun to reopen. It took us awhile to acclimate to getting our schedule back to normal, and then adding fun events!

We loved dressing up, and going out. It was definitely a lot of fun. Not only did we love the event, it felt good to go out dressed up, without the kids. I was definitely twirling for joy!

This skirt is great for dressing up. It is easy to pair with a top on warmer fall days. It will also be easy to pair with a long sleeve top, or sweater, when the weather cools down.

Of course, when I know I will be walking, or on my feet, I love opting for boots instead of high heels. They are really comfortable and wearing socks adds some cushioning. Love that!

I hope you are getting out there, and in the mood to twirl!

Beyond Van Gogh San Jose

wearing: large hoop earrings / black top / G buckle belt / bracelets (local San Jose designer!) / pleated green skirt / black pouch / fall nail polish / black chain boots /

Art meets tech at the new Beyond Van Gogh, immersive experience in San Jose! I was thrilled when Beyond Van Gogh invited me to attend their press preview party last Thursday; one day before the event’s grand opening. It was amazing to be able to view the new exhibit, and to take photos, in order to share the event with you. If you are local, I hope you want to go!

I don’t want to give away too much information, because then you won’t be surprised when you attend the event. So, I will give you a brief overview!

The “Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” is currently being held at the San Jose Convention Center in downtown San Jose. It’s an amazing walk-through and experience you won’t want to miss! The exhibit begins with an educational walk-through which details Van Gogh’s life and experiences. This is an important, educational moment in the exhibit, so make sure you read it all!

After reading about Van Gogh’s life, inspiration, and experiences, you will be guided into an immersive room which walks you through his paintings and life works. His artwork is grouped by theme, and using technology, the paintings fade in and out, and immerse you inside of them! It really is quite an amazing experience!

My husband and I chose to stand, pause, and wander through the area. If you prefer to sit, there are benches around the room, and some attendees sat on the ground and really felt themselves immersed into the art. This truly is an incredible fusion of art and tech. My husband even commented that he would love to see other artists works’ in this way. I agree!

It is also a great way to introduce Van Gogh to children, who may otherwise bore at a traditional museum. The immersive experience is fun for kids; as we witnessed several children enjoying themselves during the event. I immediately regretted not bringing my kids. This is a great exhibit for families!

Well, I don’t want to give away too much. I would love for you to attend “Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” yourself! The event starts Friday, September 24, 2021 and runs through November 14, 2021. They have daytime and evenings hours, so you can choose if you want to do a family outing, or date night! Love that!
