I’ve been wearing it everyday!)/ Cuff paired with watch: c/o Kendra Scott / Jeans: COH / Boots: Tory Burch (super comfortable!)

One of my favorite fall fabrications is suede. Of course, suede can be hard to care for, and expensive! So when I spotted this faux suede topper at H & M at Santana Row, I had to have it!

This H & M topper for fall is perfect for our autumn weather here in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is medium weight; making it easy to wear during foggy mornings, and during sunny afternoons. The three-quarter length sleeves offer the perfect balance between long and short sleeves when the weather changes drastically throughout the day. I also love 1970’s styling!

Right now, I have been pairing this H & M topper with short sleeve tees. When the weather cools down in November, and December, it will be easy to pair my H & M topper with long sleeve tees, and lightweight sweaters, to keep cozy during the cold months.

I can also picture this H & M topper with wide leg trousers for a dressier look during the week, or at the office. It can also be a great alternative to a heavy coat over a boho-chic dress. So many possibilities!

Since the 70’s have become the decade of influence on fashion for fall 2015, I have been obsessed with owning a button down, suede a-line skirt. When I found this skirt on major sale, in one size too big, I snapped it up; despite the size issue.

Being one size too big did not seem like a big issue when I purchased the skirt. It sags a little bit around the waist, making me look a little pregnant in the photos above, but it looks smoother in real life. Suede is a little bit pricey to alter, and since I am in the process of losing ten pounds, I am going to wait before altering the skirt. I want to make sure I am at my goal weight before having the skirt made to fit me perfectly.

I love this skirt so much. The suede is soft, and the skirt is comfortable. I cannot wait to wear it with a cozy sweater in the winter, and warm boots. I love the vintage look of the skirt, and the fact that is it navy blue! Navy is one of my favorite colors to wear.

If you are looking for a navy, suede a-line skirt, with buttons down the front, there is a similar one by Theory on sale here and here.

I am also in love with this secretary style blouse. The polka dots are so much fun, and the tie is a throwback to the 1970’s. It reminds me of a modern version of the silhouette on the vintage blouse my Mom gave me, last worn here.

This blouse will be fun to wear on casual days this fall with boots, flare jeans, and my Mansur Gavriel drawstring bucket bag.

I feel like this suede a-line skirt is my hold grail piece of the season. What is the one piece, your “Holy Grail”, that you want this fall?

All about the Chloe Hudson

Have you ever put an outfit together for the benefit of your handbag? It is something I find myself doing quite often when I have a new handbag. I pre-ordered this Chloe Hudson in early summer, so now that I have it, I had to design my outfit around it.

The Chloe Hudson has an obvious, 1970’s influence. Since I wanted a casual look for the weekend, I decided to play off the 70’s style and wear my favorite pair of flare jeans. In order to not compete with the handbag, I paired the jeans with classic black boots, and my favorite black top; which I wore recently at fashion week, and find myself reaching for often. I thought the basic outfit would draw the eye to the handbag.

As you know, I love handbags; and Chloe is one of my favorite handbag designers. The Chloe Hudson first caught my eye when it sailed down the runway for fall 2015. I was excited when it became available for pre-order a few months ago. The original delivery date was in November, but thankfully, it came in September. I’m in love!

I am looking forward to pairing my Chloe Hudson with a variety of looks this fall. I have more casual outfits in mind, and cannot wait to pair it with my suede skirt, last seen here, and more! It also made an appearance on the spring 2016 runway, so this handbag definitely has longevity. Love that!

For the fall and winter season, I also found I needed a new pair of black boots. I am thrilled to have found this classic pair by Tory Burch. The sole has a small lug sole which will be perfect in the winter season to help keep me from slipping on wet sidewalks, or icy surfaces. They may have to come with me to fashion week in February!

Do you ever find yourself designing your outfit around your handbag?

I will be reviewing my new Chloe Hudson later this week, so stay tuned for the upcoming post!
