Stripes fall 2017 is a hot trend which started on the fall 2017 runways and has hit the streets for the upcoming cool weather season. I absolutely love stripes; especially when they are mixed up and going in all different directions. haha That is how they were shown on the runways!!

This stripes blouse for fall 2017 has turned into a great late summer, early fall piece. The fabric is lightweight, so it is easy to wear when the temperatures are in the 70’s. It is supposed to be a one shoulder top, but it appears to have slide up my shoulder when we took these pictures. It still looks cute! I just love this blouse!

I wore this outfit to meet up with my friend Laura from Have-Need-Want at Santana Row on Wednesday evening. It was fun for us both to take a little mommy break and get some adult time to ourselves! Big thanks to our hubbies who fed our kids dinner while we ate out!!

We met at 5pm in order to attend Kendra Scott’s fall collection kick-off party. Oh my! This collection is to-die-for! Watch for an upcoming post all about the fall collection. I really love it!

After the party, Laura and I ate a yummy dinner at Left Bank, and then window shopped around the Row. We did end up splurging a little bit at Sugarfina. So much for trying to lose ten pounds! Haha, those pounds are never going to come off me!

Fall peplum top to wear now

Our weather finally dropped back into the high seventies, so I can finally wear my summer into fall wardrobe without overheating! Yay! This mustard, fall peplum top has been hanging in my closet waiting to be worn during the late summer/early fall transition season. I’m so happy I can wear it now. It’s perfect for the current weather!

I love the fall, mustard color of this peplum top, along with the funky ruffle sleeves. The fabric is lightweight, making it appear to be a fall peplum top yet offering the comfort of a summer blouse. Love that!

These slides are super comfy too; and the whole outfit was great to slip on after my workout, and to wear throughout the day. I took my kids out to lunch at Sino Santana Row, and then I dragged them with me while I ran errands. Then, I worked for a few hours, and after I worked, I brought my girls to their archery practice. This outfit was perfect for my busy day. Love that!

Comfortable fall outfits are key now that we are ten days away from school starting! Eeek! I have two kids going back to school, and one I will be homeschooling; so life is busy right now as I get everyone ready. How is August starting out for you? Are you super busy too?

Oh the humidity! We have been “enjoying” weather in the nineties over the past few days, and yesterday, the humidity was mid-west level. I had to stop and look around, just to make sure I was home and not on vacation in the middle of the country! I’m so glad I had this day to night outfit idea to wear now; which is perfect for transitioning from summer into fall.

These palazzo pants are under $20, and they are SO COMFORTABLE! They flow like a skirt, but offer the comfort of pants. Love that! They were perfect for meeting my friend Dawn for lunch at Santana Row, and also for going out to dinner with my husband later that night. Perfect day to night outfit idea for a hot summer night!

Quick shout-out for Sino at Santana Row; it is where Dawn and I enjoyed lunch. If you are local to the Bay Area, be sure to check out their dim sum. It is so good! I have eaten there multiple times, and every time I go the food is absolutely delicious. Love!

Now that I have YSL’s Studio 54 themed nail polish collection for fall, I felt inspired to add some sparkle to a day to night outfit which was lightweight enough to wear now, and well into the fall season. I just love the sparkling silver stripes on these palazzo pants, they are so festive and fun!

These pants also look chic with a slouchy tee and mules for a more casual, urban-relaxed look. I look forward to wearing them for the rest of the summer season; and well into the fall season!
