Can you believe it is almost the fall season? Despite the fact that it is technically still the summer season, we are getting cool morning fog, and school starts this week; so technically it feels like fall has started!

This is the time of year when I love to transition my wardrobe from summer into fall. I love wearing the hottest fall trends while staying comfortable in the warm summer temperatures. I absolutely adore separates for the early fall season; also known as pre-fall. The outfit pictured above is a great collection of separates to help get from summer into fall. The cardigan is a classic must-have for foggy mornings, and cool evenings. It can be worn over jeans and a tee, a summer slip dress, and then worked into a fall ensemble like the one I am wearing. This cardigan is a must-have workhorse for transitioning from summer into fall! Love!

This western style green blouse is a great piece for fall. The western trend is emerging, and in 2018, will prove to be an important one. I plan on wearing it with jeans on casual days, and with this skirt all season long! It will be fabulous in early spring too with a denim skirt and slides. Love it!

Can we talk about this plaid skirt for a moment? It really is the centerpiece of my summer into fall wardrobe from ModCloth. This skirt can also be paired with a linen tee on warm days, along with mules or slides. When the weather gets colder, it will look amazing with over the knee boots, and a cozy sweater for a casual look, or for a more dressy look, tights, heels, and a wool blazer. There are so many possibilities with this skirt! That must be why ModCloth named it the “Hero Skirt.” It is a wardrobe hero!

I truly believe for any summer into fall wardrobe to be complete, one must have separates to integrate into one’s summer wardrobe, as well as one fabulous dress. Oh this dress! It has an on trend 1970s vibe; which is a hot trend for fall. It also has a slimming effect, as well as offers a comfortable fit. I am in love! I wore this dress back to school shopping with my kids, and my mom told me she had a dress like it in the 1970s. Rocking a fall trend while staying comfortable in summer weather; pre-fall fashion mission accomplished!

Since I am a handbag superfan, you might be wondering why I have not mentioned this cute little shoulder bag yet! Well, you know me, save the best for last! I love this bag! It has a built-in wallet system with four separate compartments. This bag can be worn over the shoulder for a 1970s vibe, or it can be worn cross body for comfort, and ease of use. I have been wearing it both ways, and love it!
