I love a classic white skirt for the summer season. This white summer skirt was perfect for meeting my friend Dawn from Fashion Should Be Fun for lunch on a warm summer say. It was so nice to be able to sit down and catch up with her, and also enjoy a nice lunch.

We enjoyed the lunch special from Hong’s Gourmet in downtown Saratoga. They always have a generous list of lunch choices paired with soup. It is a great place to go for lunch inside, or to enjoy outside on their patio. Love!

We both ended up ordering the prawns with black bean sauce, which is one of my favorites on their menu. Paired with jasmine tea, it was a nice relaxing lunch.

Since summer weather is here, I wore this lightweight white skirt, which is lined, paired with my favorite black tee. It is rare to find a white skirt with lining. As we all know, lining is a must when it comes to white! I look forward to also making this casual and pairing it with flip flop or espadrilles on beach days, or even warmer summer days!

The 4th of July is fast approaching, this is the perfect time to assemble your patriotic outfit for watching parades, attending BBQ’s and showing off your USA pride. Love that!

Chances are, you already own denim shorts, but if not, this pair is really cute and available in a couple different washes. These espadrilles are comfy and patriotic. Love those stripes!

Of course, blue nail polish is perfect at any time, especially when we are celebrating our country. This is my favorite bottle.

We all need a USA tee! This one comes in a few different color combos and style. This style is my favorite. Love it!

Japanese Friendship Garden San Jose

Did you know San Jose has a Japanese Friendship Garden? The best part? It’s free! Love that!

Nestled into Kelley Park and across from Excite Stadium, the Japanese Friendship Garden offers well maintained gardens, a calm pathway, and lots of Koi! The only drawback is that there is a problem with the large pond, so it has been drained for several years. Fingers crossed San Jose finds a way to fix it!

This is a fabulous place to go if you want an easy outdoor walk instead of a gym day, or you need a peaceful activity to relieve stress. If you are local to the San Francisco Bay Area, I highly recommend taking a moment to visit for a peaceful walk; just be prepared for the empty pond.

You can always make a day of it and also visit History San Jose as well as the Portuguese History Museum since they are all on the same, large block on Senter Road.
