Cardigan sweaters, especially those with bold buttons, are hotter than hot for the fall season. So, I picked this one up in a fall shade of green for he upcoming autumn season. I love how the button up sweater looks with these light neutral, wide leg jeans and a pair of classic of loafers.

To modernize this classic look, I paired the cardigan sweater and wide leg jeans with this fabulous top handle handbag. Love!

Classic button earrings, vanilla based fragrance and a darker neutral nail polish complete the look. Now, we just need a some cool, sweater weather! Bring on the fall season!!

Cool summer day in Long Beach

I took a quick trip to Long Beach for some business and got to enjoy a meal at my favorite sushi place in Long Beach, Sushi Mafia. They have a huge menu with so many choices! I try to order a different special roll every time I go. So yummy!

The weather was mild, so I was able to wear this knit top with classic cut jeans. My top is on major sale by the way! Love that!

We stayed at the Westin Long Beach and it was really nice. We could easily walk to restaurants downtown, as well as the beach. It was a quick trip for a couple days and we drove, so it felt like I spent quite a bit of time driving on highway 5. haha

I know I will be back to Long Beach soon, so I wanted to share a few of my favorite places with you! Trung Nguyen E-Coffee is located by Long Beach State Univ. and offers varieties of tea and coffee. It is really good! Also, if you like acai bowls, Pack-A-Bowl is a short distance by car from the University and has an option to build your own bowl; which is what I did. Yum! Lastly, if you like sushi, Sushi Mafia downtown has a large menu and is always yummy. Love!

Well, summer vacation has another month and fall is hitting stores, so stay tuned for more coverage of both!

Summer lunch and a new restaurant

It is always fun to meet up with my friend Dawn from Fashion Should be Fun. We met for lunch and decided to check out a new restaurant at Valley Fair for named Stick & Wok. It was really yummy!

It was the soft opening for Stick & Wok so they weren’t crowded because no one knows they are there yet! I hope by now, everyone knows they are there and will stop in for some yummy food! We really enjoyed the Sweet Corn and Chicken Soup, Vegan Mushroom Fried Rice with Truffle Oil, and the Pork and Scallion Pot Stickers. I highly recommend!

Stick & Wok is located on the second floor near the men’s Macy’s and next door to Ramen Nagi. The decor is modern and features cool posters of food. It’s clever and comfortable. Love that!

It was so much fun to enjoy a meal and talk with Dawn. I look forward to seeing her again and also visiting Stick & Wok again! So, if you are local, be sure to pop into Valley Fair and enjoy a meal at Stick & Wok. Love!
