Day two of New York Fashion Week was super busy! I attended Dan Liu, LANYU, Hakam Akkaya, Concept Korea, RtA, and Chromat. After the shows, I met up with fellow GenX blogger SimplySylvia. In order to survive a busy day like this, I needed to wear something comfortable!

Thacker NYC is a fabulous clothing brand based in New York City. Thier concept is to create a capsule wardrobe which can be mixed and matched, season after season. I love how this coat, tunic/dress, and leggings were perfect paired together for fashion week. When I get back home, and start heading into the spring season, I am looking forward to separating the pieces and mixing them into other outfits. They are so versatile! Love that!

I already wore the coat before fashion week. You can see how I styled it online here. This dress/tunic is great because it can be worn as a tunic over leggings or skinny jeans. It can also be worn as a dress. It will be really cute this summer with high heel sandals for dinner on a patio! Love!

With the athleisure trend in full swing, more on that from me later in the month, these Thacker NYC leggings will be front and center. They are made from extremely high quality fabric, and are so comfortable! Love!

You can find more versatile pieces for your wardrobe by Thacker NYC online at ThackerNYC.com.

Stay tuned! I will be reworking these pieces throughout the spring and summer seasons!

The first day of New York Fashion Week it snowed; and by snow, I mean SNOW! Thankfully I had this beautiful coat by San Francisco Bay Area fashion brand Tart Collections to keep me warm and cozy! Isn’t it fun that a brand from California kept me warm and toasty in New York?! Love!

If you have been following along, you may have noticed I LOVE Tart Collections! Recently, I wore this fabulous studded moto jacket on the blog, which you can see online here, and here. For the holiday season, and on New Years, I wore this beautiful sequin blazer by Tart Collections, which you can see online here. So as you can tell, I am a huge fan of the brand!

As a huge Tart Collections fan, I am thrilled to be able to pass onto you a 15% off coupon code  at TartCollections.com which is good on the entire site now through February 28, 2017. The coupon code is bayareafashionista1 Love that!

This coat is my current favorite as it kept me warm and cozy all day during fashion week in the snow. I also received tons of compliments on it! Love!

Day one of fashion week was a busy one! I went to several shows including Nicholas K, Ane Amour, Tadashi Shoji, Noon by Noor, Berenik, Katie Ghallagher, and Michael Costello. They were all so amazing; and I already spotted a few trends for fall 2017! So stay tuned! I have fashion week coverage coming up. At the end of the week I will recap the trends and highlights of New York Fashion Week. In the meantime, be sure to check out Tart Collections and stock up on warm clothing, and their new spring collection while saving 15% of your purchase with coupon code bayareafashionista1

On a plane to New York Fashion Week

marissa webb spring 2017 nyfw

Today I am on a plane to New York Fashion Week. As we prepare for fashion week, we are still experiencing the winter 2017 season; although stores are already showing us spring 2017,  starting tomorrow, we will learn all about fall 2017. Isn’t it amazing how the fashion calendar works?

We already know Greenery is the color of 2017, so as we look towards the new, upcoming trends of fall 2017, we can rest assured there should be some Greenery on the fall 2017 runways. But which trends from last fall will survive? Which new trends for the upcoming spring 2017 will prove to be lasting?

The current spring 2017 trends which are already proving popular on the street include statement earrings, denim, athleisure, mini bags, anything Gucci (which, to be frank, we can only find on Gucci’s runway haha), shades of blue, shades of pink, pale or grey nail polish, vampy or beige lipstick, and slides. Will these trends continue on the fall 2017 runway?

Last fall, we saw huge trends in lace-up sweaters, bell sleeves, creepers, saddle bags, 1990s influence, 1970s influence, and block heels. Will any of these consumer favorites continue in the upcoming fall 2017 season?

We will have the answers to these questions and more starting tomorrow! Which trends from last year would you like to see continue? Are there any trends you hope stay off the runways, and the streets? Leave a comment below and start the discussion!
