The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 is here! Today marks the first day Nordstrom cardholders can start shopping. Day one of the sale is open to Nordstrom’s biggest annual spenders, then it opens up based on spending level on August 7, 10, and 13. If you have a Nordstrom card, and you don’t know your level, log into your account to check; you might be lucky and have an early shopping date! If you are like me, and you don’t have a Nordstrom Card, we get to start shopping on August 19.

Last year a lot of my favorite items from the sale sold out within the first week. The biggest shopping days during the sale will be August 13 and 19, so if there is something you want bad-buy it the first day you are eligible to shop the sale! I will be at my laptop 9:30am on August 18 ready to shop my wish list above. These are all the items I plan to purchase. Aren’t they fabulous?

The fall 2020 season has a ton of 1970s and 1990s vibes. When you start shopping for fall, look for these elements in what you purchase. I also recommend looking for necessities when shopping this sale. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a great time to stock up on basics, pajamas, lougewear, socks, and beauty products. You probably don’t need heavy coats and winter-like boots just yet.

I promise, I am not trying to make fall happen! It’s not going to happen! -Despite the fact that I had a Pumpkin Pie Latte last Thursday. #Guilty haha

I picked up this red plaid blazer for fall, and I am in love! It’s lightweight, so it’s an easy piece to wear right now, and into the early part of the fall season. It’s always nice to have a few pieces which reflect the upcoming fall season, yet still work on warm summer days. This is my key transition piece!

We have a lot of fog in the mornings, so a lightweight blazer is perfect for combating the chill the fog brings in when it rolls over the Santa Cruz Mountains, into the valley. A blazer is also a more structured way of amping up a casual jeans and tee look. It really elevates a basic outfit. Love that!

I wore this outfit last week to meet my friend Dawn from Fashion Should be Fun at Santana Row. We took blog photos, (of course-haha), then walked around, grabbed lunch, chatted, and walked around some more! It was nice to have a relaxing day with my friend. Earlier last week I was super busy helping my mom pack, and then I helped her move. So having some “me” time with Dawn was the recovery day I needed.

Now that my Mom has moved, I can finally get on with with my summer vacation, and having fun with my kids! We have another trip planned for later in the summer, so I need to have time to plan for it!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for fall 2019 is here! This is always a fun sale to pick up a few basics for the upcoming fall 2019 season. It’s good to wait and see which trends from the runway will actually hit the streets before stocking up on fall trends. What we know is going to be hot on the streets for fall is animal prints, snakeskin, plaid, and Pantone’s top twelve colors, which you can view here.

This is the time to buy basics! When I say basics, I mean the base of your fall wardrobe. This can mean items such as jeans, layering pieces such as tee’s and turtlenecks, underwear, workout clothing and shoes, beauty products, and this fabulous curling iron that I am buying!

If you are looking for handbags, look for basic, everyday bags such as this black tote or this brown tote. When it comes to shoes, you can’t go wrong with booties! This snakeskin pair will carry you from now into the winter season, and this black pair is classic to wear throughout the year.

The reason it’s a good idea to buy basics from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 right now, is because the prices will go up on August 5, 2019. So, you can stock up on fall basics now at sale prices! Love that!

Only cardholders can shop today starting at 9:30am PDT. The sale opens up to the public on July 19, 2019.
