MAC Frost Lipstick

Frosted lipstick is back! Remember in the late 1980s and early 1990s reaching for blue eyeliner and pink frosted lipstick? A can of hairspray nearby? Large hoop earrings and crop tops? Oh yeah, that look is back, minus the hairspray; and the crop tops aren’t boxy, they are form fitting. Oh, and that’s how teenagers dress, not us; except for the make-up. So, let’s talk frosted lipstick!

Frosted lipstick cycles in and out of fashion, which is fine, because we don’t invest in lipstick expecting it to last years. I mean, ew.

The look of frosted lips is iconic when tied to 1960s style and late 1980s/early 1990s style. It even had a mild resurgence in the early 2000s. Now, in 2024, it is back and the trend is strong.

Unlike the 1990s, you are not relegated to one color of frosted lipstick. Your hue doesn’t need to be pink, just a frosted color which works for you and your wardrobe, as well as your coloring. Love that!

We learned in the early 2000s that MAC cornered the market on the perfect frosted lipstick. I stand by that discovery from twenty years ago. The best way to rock the frosted lipstick trend is with a color from the MAC Frost Lipstick collection. I found three hues I love, and I will be wearing these this summer into fall.

MAC Frost Lipstick goes on smoothly and gives you just the perfect frosty coverage. Fabby reminds me of the late 1980s and early 1990s while Plum Daddy is a great hue for evenings, as well as moving into the fall season. Angel is a great alternative and perfect for daytime during the summer. Love these hues!

What do you think of the return of the frosted lipstick trend for 2024? Will you rock a frosted lip once again?

Thanks for stopping by!

XOXO
Cathy

MAC Frost Lipstick in Fabby review

There is something about a frosted lipstick I cannot resist! When I spotted MAC Frost lipstick in Fabby, I instantly fell in love with it, and I thought it would compliment this upcoming fall season’s trends.

I am not hip on fall 2016’s red lipstick trend, so I have ventured out on my own to find colors which work both with autumn’s berry hues, and fall blues. This upcoming cool weather season is also bringing us vintage appeal from the 1970s and 1990s. Frosted lipstick was worn during both of these eras, so it plays well with the current trends. Love that!

MAC Frosted lipstick in Fabby is my favorite frosted lipstick color for fall. It has a pink and purple tone which is mature, and modern; without screaming late 1980s frost. It is easy to wear during the day, yet transitions nicely into the evening hours. It also works well with the current summer trends, making MAC Frosted lipstick in Fabby a great summer into fall color too. Love!

MAC Tendertalk Lip Balm review

I was so excited to learn about MAC Tendertalk Lip Balm. I always use Chapstick in the morning, and before bed, but during the day I want a little bit of color on my lips. MAC Tendertalk Lip Balm is fabulous because it is a lip balm, yet also adds sheer color to the lips. Love that!

MAC Tendertalk Lip Balm offers moisture which has helped repair my lips when they are dry or windblown. It also has a slight vanilla scent; which is fabulous! I chose Teddy Pink, which in the lipstick tube, looks like a really bright, neon pink! In actuality, it goes on sheer; adding a slight pink tinge to lips. I am in love with this color!

This is a great lip balm to carry around in my purse, and use on a daily basis. I am so excited to have found it! I definitely want to try more colors as we move into fall. Teddy Pink is great to wear now, and it will also work well into early fall. I might opt for more of a red or purple hue as we head towards winter.

You can find MAC Tendertalk Lip Balm online here.

I rate MAC Tendertalk Lip Balm in Teddy Pink, five out of five stars!

Don’t forget! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale ends this weekend, check out my picks from the sale, or shop it directly online here.
