I wore this outfit to my son’s graduation from Kindergarten. Not only was it adorable to see my son wear a graduation cap, it was amazing to see how proud he was to graduate! He is really excited about entering first grade next year and I am excited to have all three of my kids on the same schedule!

Don’t get me wrong, as “freeing” as it is to have the kids in school, the school year can be hectic and downright stressful! In addition to driving the kids to and from school, once I pick them up after school I become a taxi driver; taking them from activity to activity. I am fortunate to be able to work from home and be there to drive them around after school. Although, I have to admit, summer vacation is just as fun and relaxing for me as it is for my kids!

I am thankful to have this fabulous drawstring  bucket bag from Jill Milan’s fall 2014 collection. It is perfect to wear now and into fall; not just because of the neutral metallic hue, but because it is so practical! This bag fits everything I need for work and taking my kids from activity to activity. I can fit a few iPad’s inside, plus a novel, snacks, water bottle and everyday purse essentials. Practical + fabulously fashionable = love!

I am so thrilled about the bucket bag trend right now. Drawstring bucket bags are perfect for everyday life and they are not as heavy and bulky as totes. I am looking forward to wearing my Jill Milan bucket bag for a very long time 🙂

All white with a touch of black for summer 2014

One of the big trends I noticed on the New York runways last September was the all-white trend. So many designers favored pairing white with white and then adding either neutral or brightly colored accessories. As a Mother of three, the thought of wearing all white is a bit daunting; but I loved how the all-white ensembles looked as they graced the runways, so I thought I would give it a whirl!

I love white shirts for the summer, so this blouse from Gap seemed perfect for creating an all-white look; and wearing on casual days with jeans! I also love midi skirts right now, so of course I chose this inexpensive white skirt from ASOS. (one of my favorite online destinations with affordable and on-trend clothing!)

I wore this outfit for half a day and managed to keep it pristine! I have decided that is a win 🙂 I will definitely be wearing my all-white ensemble again this season, maybe next time with a bright color instead of black.

Have you tried the all-white trend this year? If so, did you use neutral or colorful accessories?

I love casual maxi skirts and midi skirts. There is something about long skirts in casual fabrications which offers both comfort and effortless style. This is what I love about this skirt from ASOS. As soon as I saw it on their website, I knew I needed it in my life for summer. The fabric is cool and comfortable which is key during the hot summer months. I am also a sucker for stripes, what can I say!

This outfit took me through church and two children’s birthday parties; all in the same day! I know I will find myself reaching for this skirt often as we move into summer since it is so versatile! What are your favorite pieces for summer which feel comfortable yet look put together?
