New York Fashion Week kicked off today, and with it will come new trends to covet, and a whole new color palette to organize our wardrobes around. How fabulous is the Pantone color palette for the spring 2024 season?! I am in LOVE!!!

Designers from New York favored beautiful, traditional spring hues as well as a few lighter versions of colors I consider fall-like. I love how Pantone showed off their swatches this season in an organized row, I feel like I can see the complimentary colors together in the perfect order.

I am always a sucker for shades of blue, green, and yellow. As it turns out, pink has faded away! Unless you consider “Desert Flower” in the pink family, then pink away! To me it is more of a coral, within the orange family, but feel free to discuss.

My favorite colors from the Pantone spring 2024 color palette are Mint, Capri, Pastel Lilac, Chambray Blue and Marlin. Start saving your coin! I have a feeling there will be a lot on my wish list, as well as yours, for the spring 2024 season; and the runways have barely begun! Yikes!

When it comes to neutrals, it looks like shades of grey and beige are trending for spring. The white hue is very bright! Make sure you keep some bleach on hand this spring season to keep those whites bright!

As you start to store your spring/summer apparel and accessories from 2023, you can use this color palette to help you choose what to keep, or what to sell or donate. The Pantone trend report is a great guide to use now as we store our warm weather wardrobes, as well as this upcoming spring season when we start to shop!

Mirrored handbags are back! While metallic handbags have been in style for quite some time, highly polished, mirrored bags have come and go. Well, they are currently in go mode!

This fall 2023 season, you will see many styles of highly polished, mostly silver, handbags on store shelves. You can find a mirrored handbag in almost style of bag you can think of except extra-large bags. The mirrored bags we are seeing for fall 2023 are mainly, mini, small and medium in size. While a few large ones exist, the main trend is on the medium or smaller side.

In my personal opinion, mirrored bags are a huge trend, and the only way to make this an investment purchase is to buy a dressy clutch or mini bag which can also be used for formal affairs. Otherwise, mirrored bags for daytime are going to be a one or two season wonder. I think the heart is super cute to use formally as well as any clutch or small, wallet-on-chain sized bag, such as the chain bag shown above.

While this trend is marketed as a daily handbag trend, you have to remember these bags are mirrored. What happens when you touch a mirror? Fingerprints and smudges happen, that’s what! If you go all-in on this trend, be sure to carry a small, soft cloth with you to rub out any smudges which accumulate during the day.

So, what is my take on this trend in handbags for fall? I say, if you want a fun bag and you don’t mind it being good for one or two seasons, go all in! If you are looking more for an investment handbag, but love how the mirrored handbags look, go for a mini bag, clutch or smaller style. This way, when the trend ends, you are left with a handbag you can wear to formal and semi-formal events.

How cute is this long, denim pencil skirt! There are so many outfit ideas surrounding this pencil skirt, the options are endless! When the weather is still warm, during the early part of the fall season, pairing this denim pencil skirt with a long sleeve tee is easy and chic. It looks fabulous with a small shoulder bag, hobo bag, or your favorite daytime tote. When the weather cools down later in the season, top the skirt off with a sweater!

Instead of wearing jeans everyday, the denim pencil skirt offers a casual and comfortable option which is slightly dressier than traditional jeans. Love that!

There are many denim pencil skirts on the market right now, but I love this one since it has a dark wash, soft denim fabric, and two slits instead of one. Most of the skirts we are seeing right now have one slit, I prefer two. This gives you more room for walking and since there are two slits on the side instead of one in the front, this skirt is much easier to sit in! haha
