I’m so excited to talk to you about my new running shoes! I bought the adidas Ultraboost 21 running shoes back in early February, and I have fallen in love with them!

Every six months, I like to replace my athletic shoes in order to ensure they have optimum support. I am very protective of my feet! A solid, supportive shoe is a must not only when engaging in athletic activities, but on a daily basis. Nothing is worse for your feet than ill-fitting shoes and/or shoes which do not properly support your foot. Think about your feet as your foundation. With an unstable foundation, a building will fall; so will a human with an improper fitting shoe. When a shoe fits, and offers great support, your feet are happy, you have more energy, and you are less likely to injure yourself.

Now that I have semi-lectured you on shoes, let’s chat about my favorite new athletic shoes! The adidas Ultraboost 21 running shoes are beyond amazing. They have an ultra-supportive sole which hits my footbed in all the right places. The arch support is perfect, and they protect my ankle in the right spots.

You might be wondering why I am talking about a running shoe when I am not a big runner. Well, I prefer running shoes for my everyday fitness activities. Running shoes tend to have optimal shock absorption, and they are flexible, which makes squats and lunges easy to execute. The sole is also on the wider side, which helps offer optimal stability when doing leg-work. I love doing squats and lunges!

My addias Ultraboost 21 running shoes are fabulous, not only for running, but for all of the fitness classes I enjoy taking. I wear them for cardio classes, kickboxing classes, and also several HIIT style classes. My adidas Ultraboost 21 running shoes give me the exact support I need for all of those workout classes. Love that!

But wait, there’s more! The adidas Ultraboost 21 running shoes also have some pretty cool specs I am excited to share with you. In addition to the adidas Torsion System, which provides a 15% increase in forefoot bending (love this for squats), they are made from PrimeBlue. PrimeBlue is a high-performance recycled material made partly with Parley Ocean Plastic. adidas does not use any new polyester in these shoes, only recycled. Love that!

Since grey and yellow are the colors of 2021, I chose my adidas Ultraboost 21 running shoes in grey with a touch of yellow; the official color combo is Halo Silver/Grey Two/Solar Yellow. My feet need to be both fashionable and well-supported. If grey isn’t your thing, adidas offers the Ultraboost 21 running shoe in nineteen color combos! I am sure you will find one you love!

First off, apologies for the grainy photo. My camera is starting to act up, and it may be time for a new one. This was the best shot I could get with it. Stay tuned for a camera update later this month! Now, onto spring shoes!

My spring 2021 shoe capsule wardrobe is here! This spring, life is on the casual side. I put my high heels in the closet, as well as my wedge espadrilles, in the hopes of pulling them out this summer when things open up a bit more. Here in California, we are still somewhat locked down. We can enjoy outdoor dining, and outdoor activities, but everything that is open is on the casual side, and requires footwear to match. Shoes I can walk in are a must! So heels and wedges are stored for next season. Waiting for those vaccines!

Spring shoes for the 2021 season are a little bit more fun than they have been in previous years. We are looking at the puffy pillow trend, which started with handbags, and has now moved to shoes; and we are also looking at the square toe. Put these two trends together, and your footwear is fun!

I normally prefer neutral shoes, but for spring 2021, I decided one pair of fun, yellow shoes was a necessity. It’s been such a stressful, and crazy, twelve months, so adding a little bit of fun to our wardrobes this season will brighten the day as we look towards the light at the end of the tunnel.

I love this puffy yellow pair of slides. They are comfy and soft, yet offer a little bit of height with the block heel. I can walk around in them, and kick them off easily in the car. If you are only buying one pair of shoes this spring season, buy something fun!

If you have been reading my blog, you know all about comfort shoes for spring! I love these comfy slides, and espadrilles are also slipper-like on my feet. These are my two go-to comfort shoes this spring season. I also have a pair of Birkenstocks, but I tend to wear them around the house. They are well-loved.

Espadrilles, and any pair of open toe shoes, will easily carry us all into the summer season. These are good investments to wear for spring, and throughout the warm weather seasons. Closed toe slides will also carry us through fall. This makes slides a great investment shoe for 2021! Love that!

Have you noticed? Comfort shoes are a hot trend this spring 2021 season. As we start to emerge from our homes, and begin getting back out into the real world, we all need a little bit of comfort. While we want to dress up and get out of our loungewear, it’s hard to lose the comfort aspect we have enjoyed for months. This, coupled with the current 1990s footwear trends, it’s no wonder comfort shoes are hotter than hot right now.

Comfort shoes offer a lot to love. They are obviously comfortable, and they are easy to slip on and off. In addition, they offer style without sacrificing, you guessed it, comfort! Funny how that works!

Comfort shoes aren’t just hot for spring. Designers showed them on the runways at New York Fashion Week for the fall 2021 season too. This means that comfort shoes are a great investment to wear this season, and throughout the entire year. Love that!

So what style of comfort shoe should you invest in? Birkenstocks are the hottest of the hot right now. In fact, the long-time hero of the comfort shoe world has introduced a few new styles to covet this spring season. Even if you have a well-loved pair at home, you might want to take a look at their new styles. They are fabulous.

One trend in comfort shoes to watch for this season is woven leather. You’ll also see a lot of puffy leather, which is in line with the puffy handbag trend. If you like pillows, this is your thing!
