Chanel Paparazzi nail polish for summer 2013 review

Chanel Paparazzi is one of three nail polish colors from the new late, summer collection which includes “Cinema,” “Provocation” (also from the FNO12 collection) and “Paparazzi.” This beautiful, classic hue appears to be a dark, sparkling pink in the bottle. When applied with two coats, Chanel Paparazzi offers a dark, brownish-pink hue with a very slight sparkle which is difficult to see without direct sunlight.

Paparazzi by Chanel is an ideal nail polish hue for late summer 2013. This dark color is neutral enough to blend with both summer and fall color palettes without screaming “summer!” The pinkish-brown hue of Chanel Paparazzi easily blends with shades of purple, blue, green and pink as well as warm hues of red, orange and yellow. Love that!

I tested out Chanel Paparazzi with one base coat and two coats of colors. The polish lasted almost a week without chipping or cracking. The color of Chanel Paparazzi feels a little dark in June, but I feel like this will be a great nail polish to wear towards the end of July and through the beginning of September. It is a transitional hue from summer into fall.

Chanel Paparazzi is priced at $27 and can be found online here. Happy shopping, and stay fabulous

Dolce & Gabbana Gentle nail polish for summer 2013 review

Dolce & Gabbana’s “True Monica” collection for summer 2013 embodies the modern beauty look straight from the red carpet and the Milan Fashion Week runway. This collection features a Smokey eye and nude, to pale lips and nails. Although considered classic and chic, this beauty look is hot for summer 2013.

From the “True Monica” collection by Dolce & Gabbana is a nail polish hue named “Gentle.” This dark “nude-like” hue offers a cool rose color which is dark enough to wear through the summer season and into the fall 2013 season. Love this!

I tested out “Gentle” by Dolce & Gabbana and the nail polish proved to be long lasting! Dolce & Gabbana “Gentle” stayed chip-free a full eight days with only a base coat and two coats of color. I did not use a top coat.

This is a great color to have in one’s nail polish collection. “Gentle” is a classic color which easily blends with any color palette from any season. The classic nature of the color transcends trends making it ultra-chic. Love that! Since Dolce & Gabbana nail polish is long lasting, “Gentle” is also a wise investment purchase!

Dolce & Gabbana “Gentle” is priced at $30 and can be found online here.

Laura Mercier Bare Rose nail polish for summer 2013 review

One of the biggest trends in nail polish for the summer 2013 season, and moving into the fall 2013 season, is the nude nail. Laura Mercier’s new summer 2013 nail polish hue, “Bare Rose,” fits perfectly into the nude nail trend this season while offering a splash of sweet color.

The nude nail look this season is a bare hue with a slight splash of color. Instead of traditional beige, summer 2013 is bringing us nude nail polish hues which offer pink or coffee colors infused into the polish. “Bare Rose” by Laura Mercier is the perfect pinkish-nude hue for the summer of 2013 as it offers the on-trend color as well as high quality saturation.

I tested out Laura Mercier’s “Bare Rose” nail polish with one base coat and two coats of color. The polish went on smooth without streaking; a huge feat when it comes to pale polishes! As with all of Laura Mercier’s nail polishes, “Bare Rose” is long-lasting and does not chip easily. The polish lasted a full week without chipping. Love that!

“Bare Rose” by Laura Mercier is a sophisticated nude pink which acts as the perfect background for summer 2013’s bright color palette and colorful prints. Laura Mercier’s “Bare Rose” nail polish for summer 2013 is also easy to wear with both daytime and evening attire.

Laura Mercier “Bare Rose” nail polish is limited edition and priced at $18. “Bare Rose” by Laura Mercier can be found online here.
