Since blue is my favorite color, and it happens to be one of the most important color trends for the upcoming spring 2015 season, I had no choice but to test out Christian Louboutin’s “Wherever” nail polish hue from the “Pops” collection. Wherever by Christian Louboutin is a beautiful, rich dark blue which is almost navy; making it a good transition color from the cool winter months into the early days of spring. Love that!

Christian Louboutin Wherever nail polish is long-lasting. The nail polish lasted a full week without chipping; and that was without a top coat! I used one base coat and two coats of color. As with other Christian Louboutin nail polish hues, I find it hard to apply because the brush is sooooooo long! It is a little bit difficult to balance and guide the brush, although, after using it a few times, it is possible to develop a rhythm and be able to paint your nails without making a mess.

Aside from the awkward application brush, Christian Louboutin Wherever is an ideal classic nail polish for anyone’s collection. It is a timeless shade of dark blue which can flow easily from nautical spring styles to colorful summer ensembles. Wherever can go into the cool months of fall and blend well with classic autumn navy. When fall turns to winter, Wherever is there to play winter blue. So Christian Louboutin knew what he was doing when he named this light navy shade “Wherever.” Wherever can truly take you wherever you want to go; twelve months of the year. Love that!

Christian Louboutin Wherever nail polish is part of the “Pops” collection and can be found on here and here.

Chanel always introduces a fabulous red nail polish for the holiday season. For the holiday 2014 season, Chanel has given us Phenix, which is a fabulous cherry red nail polish hue.

Chanel Phenix nail polish is a classic cherry red. The color is vibrant and sweet, making it easy to wear on a daily basis. For the red nail polish aficionado, this is a must-have for collection. Chanel Phenix nail polish is the perfect, classic cherry red for wearing not only on a daily basis, but during any season of the year. Love that!

I tested out Chanel Phenix nail polish with one base coat and two coats of color. The nail polish lasted six days before chipping.

Chanel Phenix nail polish will be easy to wear during the holiday season and into the upcoming resort and spring seasons. The cherry red hue is light enough to work well with resort’s vibrant color palette and spring’s pastel hues. In addition, Chanel Phenix blends well with shades of blue; an important color family as we head into 2015.

Chanel Phenix nail polish, and the entire holiday 2014 beauty collection from Chanel, can be found online here and here.

Nars Alogonquin winter 2015 nail polish review

Nars Alogonquin nail polish from Nars’ “Laced with Edge” winter 2015 beauty collection is a beautiful, dark lavender hue with a generous amount of sparkles. It is soft enough to wear everyday, yet edgy enough to add a little bit of sass during winter’s dreary weather, and dark color palette. Love that!

I started using Nars lipstick and eye shadow back in the mid-1990’s. I always loved the color saturation and cutting edge palettes. For some strange reason, I never got around to testing out their nail polish! When the “Laced with Edge” winter 2015 beauty collection came out, I was actually looking for lipstick! Instead, I found three beautiful nail polish colors from Nars for the winter 2015 season. One of those colors is Alogonquin which is an amazing dark lavender, light purple hue, infused with a generous amount of sparkles.

I fell in love with both the color and the wear of Nars Alogonquin nail polish. I used two coats of color and one base coat, no top coat, and wore the nail polish for seven days. I only received one small chip on my thumb on day seven! Nars Alogonquin held up really well, and if I had used a top coat, I am certain it would have lasted longer than seven days.

I will be testing out the other two nail polish colors from Nars “Laced with Edge” Winter 2015 beauty collection very soon; so stay tuned!
