Chanel Frenzy for fall 2012: the IT polish from the Paris runway

Chanel Frenzy is new “IT” nail polish spotted on the Paris Fashion Week runway for fall/winter 2012/2013. This lavender-meets-taupe-meets-grey nail polish color is similar to nude and neutral nail polish hues spotted in New York and Milan. This shows that dark, vampy nails are now a thing of the past as nudes and soft neutrals move into the forefront of nail polish stardom for the fall 2012 season.

Although the current “IT nail polish Chanel Attraction, from the iconic Paris design houses’ spring 2012 runway is a metallic white, the majority of nail colors at the forefront of nail trends for the spring season include bright corals, reds and pinks. The move for fall towards neutrals and nude polish marks a new turn in nail trends for the end of 2012 and moving into 2013.

Chanel Frenzy is cool version of nude as the shade has grey undertones and compliments cold colors such as blue, grey and black. The nude colors shown in Milan and New York offered warm undertones, making them the perfect color for autumn’s brown, mustard and orange hues. Every season Chanel’s runway nail polish hue sells out within a couple of weeks after being released to store shelves. If Chanel Frenzy is already sending you into a “Frenzy,” run, don’t walk to the store when this runway hue is released to Chanel counters everywhere. Happy shopping and stay fabulous

Chanel releases their spring 2012 runway nail polish: Attraction is here

Chanel has released their spring 2012 runway nail polish color, “Attraction” to stores this month and with the pearly white shade, the iconic fashion house has also released three additional, late spring colors. The three additional colors, “Distraction,” “Frisson” and “Tentation” are shimmering colors which are also on-trend for the spring 2012 season.

“Attraction” is the long-awaited runway shade from the Chanel spring 2012 show during Paris Fashion Week last fall. The hue, which offers a pearly white color, needs three applications to not show streaks. This is the perfect warm weather neutral since it can be worn with all of the bright colors of the spring 2012 season. This is also an easy color to wear on toes since it will not clash with colorful sandals and open toe pumps; love that!

For those who enjoy a bit more color and are getting bored with April, May and June, the new late-spring shades are juicy and packed with sparkling color. “Distraction” is a fabulous bright pink with an orange undertone. This warm color applies perfectly in two coats and works well with all the orange, yellow and pink colors of the spring season. Love!

“Frisson” is the perfect pink for the Fashionista who has embraced the pastel color trend for the spring 2012 season. This light pink is sweet and candy-like; it too applies nicely in two coats.

“Tentation” is a dark pink with cherry red undertones which works well with shades of pink, red, purple, fuschia, blue and green this spring season. This is a great alternative to red for Fashionistas who enjoy a more classic nail polish, but are ready to break away from regular reds.

While the “IT” polish for late spring is Chanel’s “Attraction,” the other late-spring colors, and the early spring colors of “April,” “May” and “June” are all perfect and on-trend for the warm weather season. So many options=fabulous!

Bay Area Fashionista tip: We love “Attraction” on toes and wearing “Distraction,” “Frisson,” “Tentation,” “April,” “May” or June” on the fingers. Since spring 2012 is all about color, why miss out on the opportunity to show off your colorful side with your hands! “Distraction” is perfect for toes since toenails are so close to shoes, you never have to worry about clashing.

Spring 2012 beauty trends: Pastel powders versus the dark lip

Beauty is taking on a natural yet colorful look for the warm, spring 2012 season. Colorful, yet pastel shades of green, orange and more are taking over the faces of Fashionistas everywhere and adding a soft, understated pop of color to an otherwise natural, glowing face. There is also one other dominant beauty trend for the new, warm weather season; the dark lip.

Colorful yet natural: Eyes, cheeks and lips are being shown with natural and light applications of pastel hues; giving color a new life in the beauty world. Chanel is showing shades of creamy orange for spring 2012 in the form of soft eye shadow and sheer lipsticks which add the slightest sheen of color in the quietest of ways. Many designers are showing pale shades of orange, red, pink and even green.

Understated smoky eye: Another look from the runways has been to combine a soft smoky eye with either sheer, barely detectable lip stick or a dark, almost vamp lip which is suitable for evening occasions.

The dark lip: Dark lips graced runways in Milan, New York and London and were dramatic when shown with summery whites and pale neutrals. This look was often paired with light eye makeup, or soft smoky eyes.

Pastel and soft colors for spring work perfectly with all of spring’s trends; making it easy to invest in a small amount of make-up and wear it with everything. Pastel eyeshadows, blushes and sheer lipsticks are the perfect way to not overpower bright and bold colors this spring, while also staying soft when worn with pastels. A dark lip will instantly spice up the look for heading out into the night.

The biggest challenge is finding the perfect hue for your overall wardrobe and that matches your skin-tone. Look for shades of soft green, orange and pink. And remember, if the colors of the season look funny on your skin, don’t be a fashion victim. Seek out neutrals shades and wait for the new colors of summer.
