Local Designers

The Perfect Provenance in downtown Tiburon

It’s always fun to find local shops which offer both fashionable and local products. When I learned about The Perfect Provenance in downtown Tiburon, I was thrilled to learn we had a fabulous shop right here in the Bay Area which offers exactly that!

The Perfect Provenance offers fabulous and fashionable men’s and women’s clothing. They carry amazing brands which are on trend, and also offer quality as well as good fit. In addition to clothing, The Perfect Provenance stocks cult favorite accessories such as Perrin, Vanessa Bruno, and Elena Ghisellini.

I was also amazed to see jewelry from local designers, fabulous shoes, and so many perfect pieces for the home. They stock everything from home décor to books. In addition, they also have all-time children’s favorites such as “Madeline” and “Babar.”

I was also thrilled to find amazing gifts which are not only great for the holiday season, but all year long. They have small batch olive oil and vinegar made in Italy; which as someone with Italian ancestry, I can attest is absolutely authentic and fabulous- a must-buy when you stop in the shop or place an order online!

Products with a cause are always something I fall in love with, these adorable tee’s are exactly that! Sales from the tee’s, pouches and entire “Smile Collection” directly benefit Operation Smile. Love that! There is much more information on their website here.

One thing I find amazing about The Perfect Provenance is that their entire stock is also online. If you are not local to the Tiburon area, or you aren’t ready to venture out of quarantine just yet, you can shop it all online at ThePerfectProvenance.com. Love that!

As far as safety is concerned, everyone inside The Perfect Provenance is wearing a mask; and as a customer, you will too. It’s very clean and safe; and fun! You will love browsing and shopping in-store, just as I did. It is full-scale retail therapy. Love!

I enjoyed trying on clothing in the dressing rooms. It was safe and fun to see which items from the store I wanted to leave with. I ended up snapping up a top, sweater, dress, earrings, olive oil and vinegar (of course), and a candle. I love getting a few things for myself as well as getting a jump start on my holiday gift shopping! It is a one-stop-shop!

Be sure to check out The Perfect Provenance in downtown Tiburon, and also bookmark the website for holiday shopping-and more!

Thanks for stopping by!

West Valley College 2019 Annual Fashion Show | Alchemy

This wall was designed by the architecture students at West Valley College. It was inspired by the color palettes, and fabrications, from the runway collections designed by the fashion students.

It’s always exciting when I learn about local fashion. It’s even more exciting when I learn about fashion happening within walking distance of my house. Our local community college, West Valley College, has an fabulous art school which offers students certificate and associate degree programs in many areas of art. The West Valley College Cilker School of Art and Design is an extremely creative learning environment which helps transform students, and prepare them for careers in visual arts, performing arts, and design.

The fashion design and apparel technology program is an amazing program which prepares students for modern careers in fashion design, and apparel production. West Valley College is a recognized leader in technology training for the apparel and manufacturing industry. This is an exciting and affordable way to learn the ins and outs of the ever-changing fashion industry. Love that!

I was invited to attend West Valley College’s annual fashion show named “Alchemy,” by Content Magazine. Content Magazine is a chic, local magazine which highlights Silicon Valley’s creative culture, local arts and events, and our innovation. It’s a great way to learn about everything you need to know about Silicon Valley’s art industry. I was honored to be a guest of Content Magazine, and also to be introduced to West Valley College’s fashion program!

The designers from West Valley College’s Cilker School of Art and Design are extremely talented. I could easily see many of the designs on the runway make their way to department stores such as Nordstrom, and then end up being well loved on the street. There was a variety of daily street wear, athleisure, vintage inspiration, multi-cultural inspiration, and red carpet ready couture. The design and quality of workmanship rivaled what we see on the New York runways, and in many cases, surpassed it! All of these designers should be proud of their work; these collections could easily grace the runways of New York and become highly coveted in an instant.

West Valley College’s student designers are Britney Bliven, Lina Egutkina, Peter Esparza, Rita Hernandez, Natasha Khanna, Maria Lee, Wing Hung Lo, Nicole Markelz, Lorrie McPheeters, Dipti Nichani, Lakshimi Uma Rachakonda, Grecia Rivera, Jonathon San Juan, and Hiroko Widlow. The special guest designer, show producer, and creative director of the evening was Joseph Domingo who is a local, San Francisco designer who has shown at LA Fashion Week, and is an alum of West Valley College.

Cool fall day

wearing: antique silver earrings / Bobbi Brown lipstick “Lilac” / long sleeve black tee / mustard jacket c/o Karen Klein (also avl in black) / silver ring / Chanel holiday nail polish / Chloe bag / jeans / classic black socks / suede booties (on major sale!)

How cute is this jacket! I love how comfortable and chic this mustard jacket by San Francisco designer Karen Klein is. The 1960s vibe, combined with a flattering fit, makes it my go-to jacket this fall in order to instantly elevate a basic jeans ad tee look.

I wore this outfit the other day while enjoying brunch with my family. My eleven-year-old daughter, and my nine-year-old son, insisted on taking my pictures before we ate brunch. They both wanted to take pictures, but there was giggling going on while they were using the camera, so some of the photos are blurry, while some photos have my shoes cut off. Now you know why I have that strange look on my face in the photo above! haha

Karen Klein’s clothing is made to fit all body types. It is so comfortable, high quality, and made right here in San Francisco! Love that! Check out this jacket and more at UbyKarenKlein.com
