Gucci “Premiere” eau de parfum is a beautiful, luxurious fragrance from iconic design house Gucci. This warm, leathery fragrance was inspired by the Gucci Premiere Couture collection shown at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010. Gucci “Premiere” edp offers a luxurious, warm fragrance experience which is reminiscent of a star-studded, Gucci-clad red carpet.

Top notes: orange blossom, bergamot

Middle notes: leather, fur

Base notes: musk

Gucci “Premiere” starts off with a warm, floral scent which is string yet feminine. The musky base offers a warm platform throughout the day as Gucci “Premiere” cycles through its’ top and middle notes. Although “leather” is listed a middle note, the scent is light, with musk  florals dominating the fragrance experience.

This is a beautiful, warm fragrance which is perfect for a formal event, date night, or anytime you want to feel luxurious and beautiful. The warm notes and medium strength make Gucci “Premiere” perfect for cool weather and moderate weather up to about 75 degrees.

I’m looking forward to wearing Gucci “Premiere” on special occasions and when my mood is feeling a need for luxury 😉 This will also work well on cool summer nights, especially when the fog is off the bay.

Eco Chic products for Earth Day

Happy Earth Day! Today is the perfect day to think about how you can do your part to make the world a better place. We only have one Earth, and once it is damaged, where will we be? It is our job now to preserve the Earth for our future generations. How do we do this? 

Reduce the amount of waste you throw away. Household items and clothing which are not used anymore can be sold or donated to charity. Broken household items can be repaired or used for parts. Anything which is not usable might be recyclable! When in doubt, call or visit your recycling center to find out if an item can be recycled before throwing it in the trash and filling up our landfills.

Reuse old items by repairing them, trading with a friend, selling them or donating them. Everything has a use! Torn or damaged clothing can easily be used as rags for cleaning the house or washing the car. If you have kids, they can be made into doll clothing! My daughter made backpacks for all of her dolls with old fabric from damaging clothing. Think of the imaginative possibilities!

Recycle plastics, metals, paper and more. Always check with your local recycling center when in doubt!

Lastly, shop for items made from sustainable materials and/or made in eco-conscious factories. The Earth gives us life, we need to preserve its’ life.

Dolce & Gabbana “Dolce” is a new green-floral fragrance for the spring season. This beautiful green-floral is a heavy, warm weather scent which will leave just enough of a trail behind you so that no-one can forget your presence; and of course, leaving everyone wanting more 😉

“Dolce” by Dolce & Gabbana is different than other scents by Dolce & Gabbana; previous fragrances include “The One, “Desire” and “The One Rose.” All of the previous fragrances we have grown to love from Dolce & Gabbana offer a woody base which is smooth and sensual. Dolce & Gabbana’s other warm weather fragrance, “Light Bleu,” offers more of a light green, nautical fragrance experience which is more casual than “Dolce.”

With “Dolce,” Dolce & Gabbana have moved into a spring garden arena they have not set foot in before. Although this may sound scary to fans of Dolce & Gabbana’s woodier scents, they have stayed true to their perfume roots and created a beautiful, warm version of a green-floral scent which is sure to convert even the woodiest of fragrance fans.

Top notes: Neroli leaves, Papaya Flower

Middle notes: White amaryllis, white daffodil, white water lily

Base notes: Cashmere, musk, sandalwood

With a sandalwood base, Dolce & Gabbana fragrance fans can expect a warm undertone beneath a garden filled with fresh cut leaves and fragrant flowers. While the top of “Dolce” is very green, it only takes about twenty minutes for the fragrance to begin to cycle through green leaves and flowers creating a warm, spring-like fragrance experience to take you through the day.

I tested out “Dolce” for a sixteen hour day and the fragrance kept me guessing throughout the day. In the morning, “Dolce” offered a green leaf scent with traces of florals and something warm. By late morning, the florals dominated the fragrance and the scent of musk and sandalwood could be detected in the background. The green scent lingered in the background providing depth to the perfume. As the day wore on, “Dolce” continued to cycle through flowers with a slight warm, woody base and traces of freshly cut green leaves. I know as the weather warms up in late spring, and during the summer, “Dolce” by Dolce & Gabbana will be my go-to fragrance.

I rate “Dolce” by Dolce & Gabbana five out of five stars!
