Pleated skirts are a huge trend which is carrying over into the fall season. I love the pleated skirt because it adds volume without adding weight to one’s frame; which is huge when you have a little extra padding like me. I’ll admit it, I love food! But I digress. . .
A fall pleated skirt is perfect to wear now, while the weather is warm, and well into the fall season. It can be worn casually, like I have done in the first outfit pictured above, or dressed up, as I have done in the second set of photos shown above. When the weather cools down in late October, a pleated skirt can be paired with a turtleneck sweater and boots for a 1970s inspired, cozy fall look. Love that!
Another casual idea is to pair a pleated skirt with ballet slippers, such as this current IT pair, and a bomber jacket, such as this one.
This pleated skirt by Topshop is super comfortable, and the price is reasonable. I might be a little addicted to Topshop’s pleated skirts; you can see my pale blue one here, and my black and white one here.
What are your favorite ways to pleated skirts for summer into fall?

I never thought of wearing a pleated skirt casual. I love how you showed us how to wear it two ways!
So cute both ways!
