Beach season is here! Don’t let the morning fog in these photos fool you; it turned out to be a beautiful day at Capitola Beach! Over the weekend, we took the kids to the beach. We stopped at Zelda’s first for brunch; they have the best hot chocolate! Then, the kids built a little sand town on the beach while I dove into a new book. My friend Laura from Have-Need-Want lives close-by, so she walked over to the beach to say hi! My teen daughter loved meeting her baby. So fun!

This affordable swimsuit cover up, which doubles as a dress, was perfect for the day. It was easy to wear to brunch, for a stroll through town, and on the beach! With high heel sandals, this cover up would make a cute sun dress for date night on a hot day! I love how versatile this affordable swimsuit cover up is for the summer months. Swimsuit season is here! This means it is time for pool parties, long walks from the car to the beach, and other situations which require a little bit of modesty while wearing a swimsuit. Thankfully swimsuit cover-ups for summer 2015 are on-trend, and flattering for the season. 

With the boho trend in full effect, swimsuit cover-ups are channeling this trend by storm. There are tie-dye cover-ups, flowing fabrications, a little bit of fringe, and easygoing silhouettes to cover up your swimwear this season. In addition to boho styles, rompers are still hot for keeping you modest poolside, as well as lightweight cover-ups which can double as a hot weather sundress. Love that!

Zinke Swimsuit Cover-up for Resort 2015

Over the past month it has been  really cold! That is why this is the perfect time of year to plan a resort or cruise getaway. Since it is not quite spring, and summer was several months ago, packing for a resort getaway could be a problem! Thankfully the resort 2015 season is in full swing and Zinke has a fabulous collection of swimwear and cover-ups to make that warm weather getaway a fun and fabulous trip out of the cold and into the warm!

I absolutely adore this swimsuit cover-up by Zinke. I picked it out back in September when I was at fashion week in New York and got a sneak peek at Zinke’s resort 2015 collection. The cut-out is cute and offers a peek at a one-piece swimsuit. It is also on trend; making this cover-up ideal for walking from the beach or pool into a shop or restaurant without feeling half-dressed. Love that!

These pictures were taken when the wind was out of control! My hat kept blowing off and the skirt on my Zinke cover-up was blowing all over the place. I was afraid the cover-up would blow-up from the wind but it was great at only ballooning and not revealing what was underneath. In short, it kept me modest and covered-up! I am looking forward to wearing my Zinke cover-up at summer pool parties and future pool/beach vacations.
